I found this shocking article in “The Sun“. My heart aches when I imagine this could also be happening in America. When liberals have their way, this will be normal. And as if this is not sickening and perverted enough, government advisers of the UK also propose that “Sex lessons for five-year-olds ’should be compulsory’“! Friends, where does it end? Do we want to have children in pre-school having sex on the toilet? What is wrong with the Brits? A good mothers know that if you confront a little kid with sex all the time with sick godless television programs and even in school, the kid get interested in things that naturally is of no interest at all at this age. When I grew up, I did not know about this kind of stuff and that is good, because I child has to grow up healthy and without that dirt on it’s mind.

In this light, teen pregnancy is a good thing, it is the christian duty of a woman to bear as many christians as possible, as young as possible. Of course she would have to marry the father of the child, but this doesn’t invalidate the christian nature of teen pregnancy.

I really, really don’t think it’s going to matter who’s president when it comes to teen pregnancy…teens are going to have sex, regardless of who their “role models” are (and trust me, for most of the teens, it’s not a political figure that is their role model)…part of it is the rebellious nature, part of it is curiosity, part of it is the pleasure…and sometimes careless mistakes are made and then 9 months later, there’s a whole other issue to deal with for the rest of her life.
My proposal: make birth control more available and promote safe sex. Because usually signing something to pledge abstinence is a wasted effort. There’s no way to dictate how things are going to be, a compromise has to be made. I’m basing this on watching my little sister grow up, there’s no way in hell my parents could actually control any of her actions as a teenager, and they tried…but instead had to compromise and educate her, so that in the act of doing something stupid, maybe she’d take some precaution.
That is because you can’t stop teens from acting following what their hormons (and peers) tell them to experiment, all you can do is inform them so they experiment in the best condition possible, and being aware of the risks they take and the consequences of their actions. Leaving them in ignorance until it is too late, or diabolising sex is the best way to end up with huge troubles.
At eleven years it is rare yet possible to be phisiologically able to bear children, IIRC the youngest registered girl to be menstruated was 8 years old.

I also don’t agree with your opinion, Shelley, that talking to children about sex is bad for them. 5 or 6 years is perhaps really a bit too early, but it is important to tell them about contraception and possible venereal diseases. How else should they know about the dangers of sex? I would suggest to deal with that subject in school with children at the age of 9 or 10.
Living in an uncivilized European country (I am a US citizen but have lived in Italy all my life), I have had plenty of sex lessons as a kid and believe this:
None of us children walked out saying, “cool, I want to try this as soon as I can!”
You know why that is? It’s beacuse they did not encourage us to have sex. They merely told us about it, and about its risks.
The fact is, teenagers are often fascinated with sex, what with their hormones springing up about it. And they learn about it, not from sex lessons. I learned what sex was from other children, not from sex class. What I learned from sex class is that sex is dangerous. That one should not go around having sex at the first possible occasion. If I had not learned that, I might have become pregnant at a young age. That’s how deleterious sex class was to me.
And it’s not the liberal lifestyle that’s influencing people. I know about Bill Clinton, I politically lean to the left, and I have never wanted to emulate him. In fact, I find the idea of oral sex fairly disgusting. I’m 18, I’m still a virgin and have no wish to change that until I get married, and yet I grew up in a liberal family in a liberal area.

Britain have a christian prime minister, and that hasn’t stopped infant pregnancy. Everybody knows this happens in the US to, only that the families this happens to are have been flown out to the Middle East for teh last 20 years. You must tell to your children all about sex, they must now what is it because only in this case they can defend themselves from bad people. You must follow your children, but you must leave it possibility to mistake. You can try to forbid sex, you can tell them it isn’t good…and when do they go to school? when do they watch television? You should put them under key until you decide they can marry a man/woman…I am not mother, but I should advice my daughter or son to use preservatives. I know it is impossible and stupid in a MODERN society that teens don’t have sex, so tell them how to protect themselves. Hey Shelley, I have an idea. You’ve got 2 sons right? I’d take some of their sperm, and then have them castrated. That way you can make sure they never get a girl pregnant but you can still ensure your bloodline doesn’t stop. It’s something I’d do but me and my brother only managed to produce two retared daughters (they told us you only shouldn’t have kids when you’re cousins), so it doesn’t really work for us, but you could set a great example there.

Rather I believe that the UK govt probably meant to inform teans about sex at a young enough age that they have not yet begun and can thus make at least an informed descision, as well as using protection if they still make the CHOICE to engage in sexual activities. And oral is being mentioned as it is a valid alternative to vaginal intercourse, it will prevent pregnancy and increase your popularity all in one shot, lol. Nice. Well, my parents are the best parents in the whole world, they are european, but they’re not pedophiles, they’re religous, they don’t forced me to sex or whatever, I’ve never smoked a cigarette in my whole life, not even a joint, they never showed me porn or something like that. If a 16 year old girl wants to go out in the world,have sex and get pregnant thats her decision, it may not be right but theres nothing you can do about it once it’s done. Instead of trying to blame everyone else why don’t you find the real cause it all of this. I was born and rasied in the USA and I don’t think (as far as teen sex) we’re any better educated then any other country. I was rasied by my family, who should I add, rasied me up in church and around the teachings in the bible, when I got old enough to make my own decision I did it on my own, and having sex happened to me one of my choices. When I got pregnant my family didn’t think any less of me, yes there were upset but they didn’t throw Gods teachings in my face, I knew what I did was wrong. Chooseing to have sex didn’t have anything to do with the “government”, my “school” not even my own friends, how can you judge, not even other people, but another country, when your not there to see it 1st hand, your not being rasied in Europe, so how can you say what goes on in homes there? You can’t! If I learned one thing from going to church I know that God doesn’t judge other people and he forgives all, so why don’t you learn the facts before throwing thigs around.

When i was younger my happiest memory was of me and my 2 brothers and 6 sisters sitting in the lounger being read ‘The Good Book’. bar me and my brother they are all married now, I am the youngest and i know all of them are having or have had sex as teenagers..none of them got pregnant and none of them had kids/caught diseases as a teenager because we have all been educated and not shielded from the world we live in today.
The harsh fact is that teenagers do get pregnant and catch all types of nasty diseases, but all that is needed is the education to prevent such things happening, or lower the rates atleast.
Also I do know teenagers with children and even though you cannot blame the parents in entirety, most of them have parents with similar opinions to the ones that you are expressing through this blog. Just thought i’d mention that.
