Thank heavens that at least one conservative grass-roots activist group has the courage to speak up against the liberal myth of Global Warming. These days, the liberal pseudo-scientific community run by Internet pornographer and absentee parent Al Gore is quick to shout down anything that disproves the current lberal “orthodoxy”.
The Competitive Enterprise Institute has released a pair of inspirational public service ads, debunking the notion that Carbon Dioxide gas is harmful.
If only the crazy liberal mainstream media would listen to this “still small voice of calm” amongst the mad-scientists braying for attention amongst an increasingly alarmist media. If we were able to have calm and rational facts based discussion then violently anti-American organizations like Greenpeace or Friends of the Earth wouldn’t get so much attention.
Now that we don’t need to worry about global warming, I suggest you pay more attention to Shelley’s lifestyle tips.

Surely if carbon dioxide were harmful God wouldn’t have put it on earth right? Or not? Because he also put paedophiles and rapists on the planet. I am so confused about this. I could accept if my kid got astma, I drive a car myself, but paedophiles and rapists? Why are they on earth? I am sure you can shed some light on this? Also are all gays paedophiles? And are all Nazi’s gay? Are all gays Nazi’s? Did the V1 and V2 bombs on Britain cause global warming? How can inferior people like Italians have produced Julius Caesar, da Vinci and Parma Ham? Tom Hanks did movies on Aids, God and war heroes, is he trying to tell us something? And what about scientology, is it wrong? Is Tom Cruise a good guy or suspicious? People insist he is gay, surely there is no fire withot smoke? If Jesus came back to earth, would he wear clothes manufactured by child labour? Should children who don’t perform in school automatically be forced into child laour so we don’t need to export child labour any more? They could be given a first warning, be given a GAP year in which they would work in a factory in Vietnam for a year, to get their priorities right: either you get a grip, or this ‘ll be your future.

It wasn’t all that long ago that we were assured that cigaret smoke was harmless, and that smoking was good for you.

I could go on - and on.
Global warming is real, and can be demonstrated in the laboratory. We don’t know all of the details on how it works yet. We know that CO2 is a contributor, as is Nitric Oxide, Nitrogen Dioxide, Methane, and Non-Methane hydrocarbons. We also know that fine particulate such as that expelled as black smoke from diesel engines is a contributor.
There may be other substances that also have an effect. That will have to be determined.
Oh, and just because someone disagrees with you it doesn’t mean they are a liberal. I don’t get along with liberals either (course I don’t get along with conservatives). I’m interested in the truth - not political viewpoints.

Yes, we breath out CO2 (carbon dioxide for the simple minded folk who read this {i.e. Shelley}) But we produce more than plants can process because of cars and fossil fuels. And it doesn’t help much with smart folks like “Dubyah” cutting down vast ammounts of forests, thus reducing the ammount of plants to process the excess CO2.

Then tell everyone that the elevated levels of carbon dioxide, which has been proven to hold in heat, helped leach more carbon (in teh form of carbon dioxide) into the atmosphere… and now its surface is pretty da*n hott. and how much closer to the sun percent wise is its average orbit? now look at mars. and its just the oposite. its not hot enough, and doesnt have enough CO2 in the atmosphere to keep enough heat to get to the point that were at. I agree. Forget the animals, they are inferior.
But WE will suffer from Global warming too, because when the temperature rises atomspheric conditions change, causing increasingly severe weather patterns. The weather system is in a fragile balance, and to disrupt it is to bring on violent storms such as hurricanes and monsoons. Recent hurricane seasons and projected seasons are proof of the trend.
And yes, in the extreme case the icecaps can melt, and if you have ever had a glass of water in the summer you know that water levels rise from this. It doesn’t take much in terms of sea level to cause alot of problems, only 10 feet or so would flood countelss cities.
On other inhabitable planets there are massive destructive storm systems from atmospheric gas and chemical imbalances..I think we should take the hint and not end up like a mini jupiter from our own waste and pollution.
In the bible it says god gave man free will, why don’t we choose to use it wisely?

I, as a living, do communication stuff: Design/Web Development/Programming. I use 4 operating systems on diferent machines based on what they are good for. My server runs on BSD, which is AT&T originally, but later developed by the WORLD community. My DELL laptop runs Linux, because is really old, so it can only run Win98 which would not let me do a lot of stuff, like work online with my house, use a pendrive easily, and other simple stuff. My big computer runs Windows XP, which is good for using Adobe products, because they just won’t run on Linux or BSD. And I use MacOSX at College because they do the job best at most multimedia applications, i would have one, but they are stupidly overpriced. Oh, and Apple Machintosh is an north american company. Oh and bill gate’s OS is somewhat based on old versions of MacOS. If you don’t believe me search & read. All 4 oparating systems have good stuff. But *in my opinion*, Windows (Whatever version) has always been the worst, in fact is the only one i would be able to replace withour loosing functionality.
As for this post, please go learn chemistry and physics BEFORE you write about things you obviously don’t know. I seem to be ahead of you in knoweledge by about 15 years it seems (I’m 21).

Just to back up what I said, after a mere minute or two, I came across this on the Nasa Daily Image on Google:

Recent analysis of GRACE data indicate that the Antarctic ice sheet might have lost enough mass to cause the worlds’ oceans to rise about .05 inches, on the average, from between 2002 and 2005.
Although this may not seem like much, the equivalent amount of water is about 40 trillion gallons, equivalent to the amount of water used by U.S. residents in three months. Uncertainties in the measurement make the mass loss uncertain by about 21 trillion gallons. The iceberg pictured above is a small part of the Antarctic ice sheet. The picture was taken on the Riiser-Larsen ice shelf in December 1995. Future research will likely focus on trying to better understand the data, take more data, predict future trends, and understand possible effects of these trends on the future climate of our entire home planet.

Have you got any proofs of carbon dioxide not affecting the atmosphere or global temperature. Have you made yourself or know of any mathemathical models or physical simulations that would prove that the gas is not dangerous. And if you do, are these theories supported by at least 50% of the scientific scene (democratic principles indeed)?

We need to be good stewards of the earth. I think any Christian reading of the Bible would reveal this to be a basic tenet. To deny science (and by science, I mean EVERY SINGLE REPUTABLE scientist that has explored the evidence on global warming) respect is both idiotic and extremely short-sighted.
