A Question that Atheists dare not answer

The Bible commands us to take God’s good news to sinners. That’s a mission that we republicans take great care in following. Since President Reagan, the Republican party has been trying to reclaim America for Jesus Christ. If fact, according to this survey on the National Geographic Society’s website we conservatives are winning.
Of all the western countries we have the lowest proportion of people who reject the Bible’s truth about the creation of the earth. I’m sure all STR.com readers agree that this is a victory for the American people, and God.
The bat, according to liberals it exists because of a process called evolution. Evolution is a “magical” process by which rocks and other inanimate matter are transformed into living creatures. Suffice to say that this has never been proven in a lab.
But is that enough? Does God want us to be satisfied with partial victory? Sure the defeat-ocrats are on the run; their policies and ideologies have been totally debunked. Liberalism is offensive to the majority of American people, but still a small minority refuse to repent? Most notably, a tiny minority of Democ-rat bloggers who have turned the Internet into their platform for hate speech.
That is why we at STR.com like to applaud the Christians who have the courage to bring Christ’s message to the Internet’s hate-site hot-spots. I think we would all do well to follow the example set by this Christian Warrior on pro-terrorist “Yahoo Questions” website.

The bat: One of the most unusual creatures in God’s creation. How could a creature like this have arisen by mere evolution? It’s impossible.
We at STR.com agree. Time and time again the standard scientific opinion has been proved false and then revised. Science changes from one moment to the next, so today’s truth might turn into Tomrrow’s lie. On the other hand, the Bible’s truth is eternal and infallible.
I asked a leading bat-scientist if bats are birds and this is what he said:
“bats ARE mammals. Bats have dense bones, for instance, and not the hollow, lightened-by-millions-of-years-of-evolution bones that birds have. The bats spent most of their energy evolving amazing echolocation senses, and not becoming birds.”
So in order to believe this absurd drivel, we must first put our faith in the discredited theory of evolution. It’s far simpler to believe that God merely created these wonderful birds. If God had wanted to create a bird with mamal-like bones, mamal-like DNA and a miraculous sense of echo-location then surely he could have done so? This is the only explaination that makes consistent sense. This is also the explaination that most Americans believe, because it is God’s Truth.
Atheists, your days are over. You have distorted “science” in the name of your statanic agenda, however nothing you have done has disproved the Bible. It’s time you gave Christ a chance.

Problem with those ‘real christian warriors’ lies in their unneeded self-humiliation. I believe that we are *children* of God, they believe we are God’s *pets* and trying to inflict this self-maiming attitude to others. But that’s their problem, not mine.

Atheist’s days are over? I don’t think so. As time goes on religion in the Western world grows continuiously weaker. I think you mixed the two up. How can an Atheist have a “satanic agenda” if they don’t believe in God, Satan, Heaven, or Hell? You say so yourself that it is simpler to believe that God created bats. But the simplest way is rarely the truth. Evolution exists, it can be proven with a petri dish in a lab. You can watch bacterial organisms evolve right before your own eyes. Empirical Science cannot easily be disproved. Why is it impossible for a bat to change into such a complex creature by “mere evolution”? It isn’t. Organisms on this planet have had millions of years to do so. If science was incorrect, then all of our technology today would not exist. Hows that for truth? This is indeed a good point (no sarcasm here). Science does indeed change constantly, and the explanations that - for example - the ancient Greeks had were totally different to our views today. There are a lot of things that science cannot prove (and admittedly evolution is one them).
Science isn’t perfect. However, that doesn’t mean, the bible is any better. When a scientific idea is proven wrong, it is changed, a new, better theory occurs and we get closer to the truth. The bible, on the other hand, has been proven wrong again and again. Still, the beliefs are not changed. For example, the earth has been PROVEN to be older than 6.000 years (fossiles can be dated back there without a doubt). We KNOW that neanderthals and dinosaurs existed sometime, but the bible doesn’t mention either.
Still, it’s an interesting point.

If you believe evolution is rocks and inanimate objects coming to life, you are dumb as one of those rocks (a theory proven by many examples of your work on this site). In short evolution involves a process of natural selection. That simply means over time, organisms that have a certain trait or ability favorable to survival in an environment will survive, those that do not possess that trait or ability will die off. The problem comes with the “over time” part. If you believe the earth is 6,000 years old, then there is not enough time for evolution to have resulted in all the diversity of life we see today. If you believe in an “old earth”, then there is time for the process of evolution to have worked it’s “magic” as you call it. So evolution is not so much the question as it is if you believe in creationism or not.
As for scientific theories being proved wrong and new ones coming along, that is the very nature of science. It is not a defect, but a feature. As knowledge grows we can prove or disprove old theories, and if disproven, postulate new theories that can later be proven or disproven. Knowledge is a process, not an event.
Atheism is on the rise, Tristan. You just help it along.

The constitutional wall that theoretically separates church and state is irrelevant. Religion has overwhelmed the nation to permeate all public discussion. Despite all its fine words, religion has brought in its wake little more than violence, prejudice and sexual disease. True morality is found elsewhere. As an atheist, I think tristan is right. Since the Reagan adminstration, Republicans are trying to take the word of Christ to non-believer. From that party, that loves Jesus more, we now have two wars we are fighting and not winning, and many more possible (Syria, Iran, and North Korea on the short list).
We also have a party that speaks Jesus’s words, namely “And lo, I sayth to thee, trickle down economics is the best way to feed a man to fish”. That might be why 40 million Americans, including children, don’t have health insurance. Families have to make the decision between three meals a day for their family, or paying the costs of antibiotics when their child gets strep throat.

Well, I am one of the used to be Christians mentioned in the post above. I taught Bible in a Baptist Church for 25 years. I studied it’s pages fervently. For the most part our little hostess is oblivious to the many contradictions and inconsistent teachings found in it’s pages. She is probably waiting for Jesus to return and set up his kingdom. But he isn’t coming back, ever.. Why, because according Matthew’s gospel Jesus promised to return and set up his kingdom while some of his apostles were still living. I guess that makes him a either liar or a lunatic. And what about the scripture that supposedly records the words of Jesus when he said that he would be in the heart of the earth three days and three nights prior to his alleged resurrection. The scipture records that he rose early in the morning of the third day. Leaving him in the grave 2 nights not 3. Why can’t Christians see these inconsistentcies. It seems their faith has completely nullified their ability to think and to reason. I think of Catrina and how TV news anchors frequently mentioned “prayer” for the victims. I have a question for them.. Why would one pray to a god who according to the scriptures had the power to prevent the disaster from ever happening in the first place? This is the mentality of the religious right. Stupid, just plain stupid.

That is part of why religion exists. Because people can’t explain the things around them. Rather than attempting to learn about these things, they create the story that they must have been created directly by some higher power.

What you said has just proved your lack of intelligence. Evolution doesn’t have to be so drastic as to add wings or infra-red vision. Evolution is when a species changes from one generation the the next to adapt to their surroundings. We don’t need wings or infra-red vision. The reason for Black people having dark skin is because their original environment recieved a lot of sun light. They developed more melanin, a black pigment in everyone’s skin that helps block out sunlight, to help protect them from the sun. White people are white because their original surroundings recieved less sunlight. Since sunlight is used in the body to create vitamin D, white people needed to absorb more sunlight so they developed less melanin.
Two more things. Why IS the Bible true? Can you prove it? Also, if you think evolution is rocks turning into living beings……..
