A Soldier Writes…
This week we are saluting the good work done by our sister-blog “Save The Soldiers“, perhaps one of the most important and well-written sites in the entire bloggosphere. I think it’s a perfect tribute that we publish an email from a friend of ours who is currently fighting the Moslems in Iraq:
Dear Shelly,
Me and my platoon read your site every day, thank you so much for telling the truth about Iraq.
It’s true what they say: There are no atheists in fox-holes, and I should know. Recently, a reservist was recalled to our platoon. He claimed that he was an athiest, and that he did not believe in God. He said disrespectful things about our commander in chief, plus he said that back home people were calling us murders and war-criminals.
The US Marines are tough but caring. Looking after small children is a typical duty for recruits fresh to the desert.
I’m sure you understand that we had to beat the crap out of him, but don’t worry - he’s okay now. It’s just a form of harmless hazing. Anyway, after that he didn’t talk like such a John-Murtha wise-ass any more… I guess you could say he was Converted And it looks like it might have saved our lives.
The next day we got ambushed by Al-Queda terrorists while we were on Hadji duty. Not a single one of us got injured, but we managed to bag three towelheads and captured one and took him back to base. I just know God was protecting us
He was a young Al-Queda fighter, dressed in those strange rags that all terrorists wear. Initially uncoperative, after a bit of “heavy persuastion”, he revealed details of an al-queda backed plot to rescue Saddam Hussein and restore him to power in Iraq. I thank God that we helped put an end to this conspiracy. That is the kind of good work we are doing, and it’s a shame that we never get a word of thanks from the godless liberals back home.
A soldier confronts a potential terrorist. Our training helps us spot suspicious signs: The towelhead outfit, the scraggy beard and those shifty eyes. Thats how you spot an islamofascist.
The problem with Iraq is that there are a heck of a lot of Moslems. The fact is that most moslems are terrorists, and it’s hard to tell which ones want to kill you. Thats why we got special training. The thing with Moslems is that you gotta show them whos’s the boss. If you show a bit of force, they play nicely.
You know there are roumors that some of us are going to be redepoloyed to Syria or Lebanon. I hear that Osama’s moved on and we might need to kick some moslem ass in another country. You know what I say - BRING IT ON! The US Marines are ready to kick butt any place people go disrespecting America.
These towelhead kids are acting all friendly, but my buddy here knows not to trust sand-niggers - thats why he has his hand on his firearm. You cant be to careful around towelheads.
When I finish my tour of duty, I don’t want to return to an America that has been bombed back into the stone age, or turned into an Islamic dictatorship (what the democrats want), so please keep voting Republican so we Marines can finish the mission we signed up for.

Also on that picture, if he were suspicious of the arabs, he would have his hand on the trigger. Not the clip. Not to mention that it would be a hell of a lot smarter to have his hand on a pistol or smg or another closer quarters weapon.
If they wanted to ambush that soldier, all they would have to do is grab the barrel. It would be hot after a couple shots. but then it would be too late. Plus you can see a shadow in the far right side of the picture, He is surrounded.

This site has made a believer out of me. You are absolutely right, Tristan, Sam, and Shelley! I’m a Korean American, and many South Korean soldiers are in Iraq right now (3rd most troops after U.S. and U.K… sorry, but we don’t have many soldiers in the first place) fighting against the fascist terrorists right next to the brave soldiers of U.S. and U.K. Those ungrateful towelheads needs to be put down - every single one of them. I think that for every soldier killed in Iraq, 10 Iraqis must lie down their lives to pay the cost.

Oh, the ones with the bad equipment and training are the Army. I watched your units here in Germany and they?Ǭ¨?Ǭ•re just poor guys. Getting beaten by reservists is sure to upset every professional soldier. The marines might have better training and equipment, but on the other hand you?Ǭ¨?Ǭ•re mostly infantry. If a marine division would start an fight in open terrain against some of our Panzergrenadiers (basically Mech Infantry) they would stand no chance against the sheer number of tanks and APC?Ǭ¨?Ǭ•s.

Alas, most of my culinary fun and games in Germany were either with army ration packs, which tasted like realllllll old boots or the restaurants in Frankfurt where the proud boast seems to be “You can have it all… just so long as it’s pork based…All the pig apart from the squeak…8-)”

Yeah, most german recipes are based on pork or beef. But there are other good things , too. Especially some sweet foods like fried apple pie (ugly translation, I don?Ǭ¨?Ǭ•t know the english word). About the rations: AGREED!!! I really hate that stuff, too. Good thing we have a in field kitchen avaiable most times. :)
Still, I think that Italians would be the best cooks. Italian food, especially all the differrent flavours of pasta are some of the best things in the world.
