TGIF! Thank God, it’s Friday! That’s the mating call from liberals and even some Republicans that oughta know better and it points up everything that’s wrong in the United States of America today. Once upon a time, before Woodstock and Roe V. Wade, Americans enjoyed work. They took pride in performing their jobs to the best of their ability not only for the personal satisfaction of it but as a way to glorify God, the ultimate Boss of us all. Now with the advent of video games, online pornography and flavored beer, Americans, as the song says, only work for the weekend. It is heresy of the highest order to ?thank God? for the treacherous fruits of Satan’s labors and we at Shelley The Republican dot com believe Congress should pass legislation against saying ?Thank God It’s Friday.?.

ABSOLUTELY Billy!
It will only lead to other sayings such as:
Thank God for Porn & Thank God for Video Games.
We need to clip this weed growing in america at the ROOT before it spreads!
God bless you Billy
Shelley your dumbass website just got 100% better, thank to billybob!
Well, that would be against the constitution, Billy. Right of free speech, ya know? And yes, it protects almost everything except personal attacks.
So: “Thank god it?Ǭ¨?Ǭ•s Friday! Oh, wait, I don?Ǭ¨?Ǭ•t know if god exists! But I don?Ǭ¨?Ǭ•t care, if he exists he has heared me.”
PS: That song at the end of the podcast is really funny. The only wars you?Ǭ¨?Ǭ•re winning are against countries that are at a severe numerical and technical disadvantage and even then you sometimes screw up. Any war against a real modern army and you will get kicked in the ass. (Hell, even if the 3rd Reich lost, they showed you what a outnumbered and not as good supplied army can do with tactics, experience and good training. Still you didn?Ǭ¨?Ǭ•t learn most of the lesson. That?Ǭ¨?Ǭ•s why german troops almost every time butchered US troops when they weren?Ǭ¨?Ǭ•t outnumbered big time and the US troops hadn?Ǭ¨?Ǭ•t the advantage of lots of artillery and air support. Huertgen Forest is a good example for that. You tried to attack in a terrain that restricted the use of massive artillery and air support and even hindered tanks. (okay, your tanks didn?Ǭ¨?Ǭ•t play a big role when not outnumbering german armour at least 3:1. Those Shermans were rubbish compared with everything bigger than a Panzer IV.) Outcome: less than 8000 german casualties (most of them wounded) but more than 50000 american casualties (most KIA, several divisions got virtually wiped out!) and you had conquered a piece of dirt with no real strategical value. The Wehrmacht just blew a dam (The Kalltalsperre) and thus demolished all the brigdes you wanted to use to get into Germany. You had some good generals like Patton, but a big part of your commanding officers were let?Ǭ¨?Ǭ•s say suboptimal for the task.)
The German Guy
Let the elections begin. If (or better when!) the democrats win:
IMPEACH BUSH!
2Proud German:
Yep, Huergten Forest was total copy of some Soviet disasters in Winter war (which Soviets won, btw). Same conditions, same result. Problem is, they attributes Soviet failures to eeeeeevil regime, stupidity of Stalin and blah blah blah, while Huergten Forest… well, Americans just don’t want to know why their 28th ‘Cornerstone’ division got nickname ‘A bucket with blood’.
About Patton… his idea to attack Soviets in 1945 drives me to think he was just closet masochist.
Thank God it’s Friday! Tonight me and my wife are going to celebrate by really going at it!
And my wife and I are going to use contraception!

I know. Well, George (Patton, not bush) has had some bad days, too. And politically, he was a walking, talking car accident. But when in combat, he for sure was one of the best men the US Army had. (About american failures in WWII: Just look at what they did to let the Africa Corps just reach the Kasserine Pass. And then the British rescued the situation by holding the line when the 1st Armour was getting stomped into the ground.)
28th ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?Cornerstone?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥ division got nickname ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?A bucket with blood?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥.
Hmmm… wasn?Ǭ¨?Ǭ•t that the 66th Keystone division that was nicknamed “Bloody Bucket Division” by german Landsers?

For crimes against humanity, peace and the planet:
IMPEACH BUSH!

I checked my sources, and it was indeed KEYSTONE division (problems of double translation :-)), but it was 28th inf div, formed by Pennsylvanian National Guard (I heard Pennsylvania named ‘keystone’ state, honestly don’t know why). 28th entered the fray at Huergten by November 2, 1944 (after 3rd tank div and 9th inf div, but before 4th inf div). By November 13 all officers in 28th on inf company level and lower were killed or wounded. In December, 1944, 28th inf div was relocated for restoration… to Ardennes (I can’t even joke about it). Their emblem was red trapeze so they got their nickname (’A bucket with blood’\'bloody bucket’ - well, from that you may exactly tell what my native language is :-) ), but I heard it was product of American (quite black) humor, not German.
I think you’re right about Patton. Problem is, quite often US right-wingers don’t want to remember what he DID, they prefer to remember what he SAID. And that can explain much about other George and his believers…

Well, I think I mixed up the numbers.
The Keystone actually is a mountain or a hill or whatever located in Pennsylvania.
The men of that division weared a patch displaying the outline of the keystone on their shoulders. As it looked like a bucket and they were really battered during the assaukt on the Huertgenwald, they were then “renamed” to Bloody Bucket Division. I don?Ǭ¨?Ǭ•t really know, but I think I?Ǭ¨?Ǭ•ve read that the Germans were giving them that cruel nickname.
After they were pulled out, if you summarise all their men being KIA, WIA, MIA or suffering from frozen feet or shellshock and deduce it from the number of combat personal into that division, they had less than one company of combat troops left.
And sending them into the Ardennes might have seemed smart the time it was, but if you look what happened there only days later, that division for sure had no luck whatsoever.
About Patton: Agreed. But he had some good quotes, too. Like: ” The goal for a soldier should not be to die for his country, but to let the other bastard die for his!”
The German Guy
Honestly, something has to be done about Bush.
IMPEACH HIM!
Once again, Billy Bob (I will tease you with that until you have learnt from your mistakes): Learn how to write and spell and don’t use slang, if you really want us to believe the things that you write.
God bless those equipped with brains! And god Bless America and GOD BLESS BUSH!
