Why do the Democrats take advantage of the Disabled?

Today’s Democrats remind me of the Iraqi army in the final stages of Saddam’s defeat. Like their role-model Saddam, they are even fielding their invalids as a last ditch attempt to restore their credibility. A twitching and shattered Fox appeared on national TV ad made an argument which amounts to little more than because God saw fit to afflict him with Parkinson’s disease, then millions of pre-borns should die.
Fortunately, a group of Republicans lead by Rush Limbaugh have decided to tell the Conservative side of the story. Limbaugh was quick to notice that Fox’s shaking and lack of co-ordination had deteriorated substantially since his TV performance only months earlier. It was obviously an act, after all Fox is an actor!
Ultra-left wingers at NBC rushed to assist Michael J Fox’s attack on unborn children. Only brave Rush Limbaugh was prepared to tell it as he saw it - Fox was taking advantage of his illness to make a political point. He was exaggerating his disease, and had made himself an object of ridicule.
Rush is not the only culture warrior to dare to speak out against the left-wing baby-killing conspiracy. This sensible advert from the GOP gives plenty of reasons why no sane American should allow scientists to perform research on embryonic stem-cells:
The argument that is most persuasive to me is that we’ve spent fifteen years and many millions of dollars studying stem-sells and we still have not found a cure for all known diseases. There is no scientific point at all in studying stem cells. Why not resort to prayer? It’s been proven to be the best healing technique since the time of Christ.
Missouri - don’t be fooled into allowing stem-cell research in your state. What could be more persuasive than a group of well-informed sporting and media celebrities who are prepared to speak the truth about the abomination that is stem-cell research.
If we took money from Stem Cell research and put it into the President’s faith-based prayer-awareness program just think of the improvement we would see to the nation’s spiritual and moral health.
Of course, liberal stem-cell butchers are just going to scream and yell about how their junk-science can’t “accurately measure the effect with any kind of objectivity…” Then they?ll come out with studies where the fudge the numbers to say that prayer has no effect. But the simple fact is that the Holy Bible says otherwise. Jesus raises the dead and gives the blind back their sight. I’m sure if we just prayed a little harder then God would fix-up the war-wounded and even cure people with Parkinson’s.
It’s just a matter of getting our priorities right. Every Republican knows that if we could divert as little as 30% of the funds from Cancer, Stem-cell and AIDS research into prayer oriented programs there would be no more disease.

Once again you’ve been brave enough to speak the true truth. Sir, I thank God that there are still patriots like you and Rush Limbaugh left to fight for what’s right.
My question is this: Why do Liberals want to put the teachings of a spastic whose greatest achievement is to have played a mother lover in a film no one watches any more above those of our LORD Jesus Christ?
If god talked to people more often, I’d bet people if I was a gambler that he’d tell people to go to this Site! You guy’s are almost like Prophets of THE LORE himself!
How about we take more from the prayer oriented programs you have mentioned (how much money does it cost to pray? Nothing.) and put it into our current health care system. Ya know, some countries have free health care. And unfortunate people that actually are sick with cancer and AIDS and other chronic illnesses are expensive as hell to treat here in the USA.
Let me reiterate my point: it costs nothing to pray. So far, I haven’t seen prayer fix a serious physical or mental issue, and sometimes the help of medicine and proper treatment fails. I’m not saying it’s wrong to pray, as some people feel gratification in it. But if someone is dying, I’m going to put more faith in hospitals and doctors and nurses than a group of people praying.

yeah! i mean c’mon. who do these people with diseases think they are. they should be blessed that the lord himself picked them to get these wonderful miracles. searching for cures is just madness. just look at the plaig, if those people would have just stoped bothering wtih all those spices and home cures and instead just read the bible they all would still be alive today
God doesn’t cure you, He gives you the strength to cure yourself. Like today, I fell off my bike and injured my knee. I don’t think that God will magically fix my knee up. But He will give me the strength to keep going on my bad knee. My body will also repair whatever damage has been done and I will be able to make the same great strides I had before this accident. I will be healed by myself, God gives me the strength to do this, but he will not do it for me. Those who cannot see this are in the shadow more than any blind and deaf person.
Good idea, STR. Just make sure you rely entirely on prayer from now on, eschewing medecine and pharmaceuticals entirely.
Yes, please do us all a favour and don’t ever take medicine or see a doctor again. Just have faith, God will cure you!
It just occured to me that the most christian period in history were also full of diseases, plagues and other fun thing … prayers didn’t help much by then, why should it now?
I cannot believe that a site so dedicated to god is asking for the death of people (michael moore). Some of the hard core christians on here are so very ethnocentric in their thinking. There is not a hint of respect or acknowledgement of other peoples culture and religion here.

Fact. PD is degenerative…meaning the effects progress over time, which would account for Limbaughs’ “astute” observation.
Fact. Although it’s true we haven’t cure ‘all’ diseases in the world in the few years of stem cell research, we have made many steps towards curing a myriad of them.
I know little of politics and law, but, I recall hearing that America has a seperation of church and state policy. From what I understand, it means church doesn’t (shouldn’t) influence politics, and politics don’t govern church affairs, unless the church engages in illegal activity (i.e.: human sacrifice).
with that in mind, how do you propose the state enforcing a policy of: A transfer of funds from medical research to prayer.

Stem cells can come from umbilical cords & don’t have to threaten unborn life in any way! There is a lot of junk science out there but not all medical science is junk science. If I broke my arm or needed emergency surgery I’d see a doctor & pray God will help the doctor help me rather than pray it will miraculously heal without medical assistance!
Dubya’s faith based initiative program is just a way for the federal government to poke its nose into religion! The 1st Amendment is about freedom of religion but the federal government wants to dictate what kind of religion is allowed! If you take a welfare handout from the government for your religion, it becomes a socialist religion that must do the bidding of the State!
