May the Power of Christ Compel You

We at ShelleyTheRepublican.com always appreciate feedback, prayers and suggestions from our many loyal readers. Take for example this letter sent by John Stevenson, a fellow patriot who like us has become concerned by the rising tide of atheism and secularism that threatens to destroy every last ounce of American values and culture:

I have this brilliant idea how to stop terror and all kind of evil activity. It’s so simple that I can’t believe its not already been tried:

Something that Terrorists, towel heads, atheists, democrats, satanists and other lowlife have in common is that they shy away from the true God and his Holly sign. We can take advantage of this by placing lots of crucifixes in all public places, for example hospitals, shopping malls and court-houses.

We also need to install loudspeakers which broadcast Bible sermons and Christian music all over the country. This will put evil people in an constant agony and they will avoid all places where they are forced to hear the word of God. They will also be a lot easier to spot because its hard for them to keep a strait face when they are constantly facing god. This will give Jesus’ followers the opportunity to take them down before they commit more acts of murder or pedophilia.

Christians energised by God’s music. Atheists will be driven away into their hovels of evil.

Feel free to use this idea as your own. I just want the word out and get people to put crucifixes on strategic places and to get them to play holy music on their stereos. I know you are a Christian leader and I believe you can make this happen.

What a marvelous suggestion. We at STR.com have always believed that the vision of the Cross and the sound of God’s music is enough to drive the demons from any sinner. If only we could somehow gather together all of the Christian children of America and send them into the deserts of Iraq and Afghanistan, we could allow them to sing of God’s love to the towel-head terrorists. I’m certain that God’s love would stir their hearts and that they would instantly repent of their ways.

Yours in Christ,

Tristan J. Shuddery

    Shades of the Third Reich.

I love the idea of the Holly Sign! Holly was, of course, a pagan pre-Christian symbol.

Considering that the guy that made this suggestion is a complete Bible basher, may I suggest he goes back to school ‘cos when I was there ‘Holly’ was only spelt with one ‘L’. Freak, go masturbate you moron

Oh, oh…! This reminds me of something. What about a muezzin singing constantly from a minaret? Are you not afraid that someone will mistake you for (as you call it) a towel-head and shoot you with his freely acquired gun?

As far as I know there’s no Christian music… I only heard of gospel music - is that what you mean?

Also, I find it strange, that a ‘culture’ of thugs, servants, religious fanatics and slavers that destoryed the entire vibrant culture of Native Americans dares to mention endangerment of their ‘culture’ without a blush. It’s nothing less than you deserve.

Don’t forget the garlic around the doorways and windows. Put plenty of mirrors around, since liberal and atheists don’t cast a reflection you can tell who they are. If you want to be sure sprinkle “holly” water on ‘em and it’ll burn ‘em.

  7. Danny Ditto December 13th, 2006 8:37 am

Crucifixes? You’re breaking one of the Commandments against graven images! Besides,Catholics are big on crucifixes & I thought you hated “Papists”! Aren’t you also sending the message “Submit to Christianity, you dirty Jew!”? I doubt you’ll allow any Jewish sermon or Star of David, after all! I presume you only believe in freedom of religion for your denomination of fundamentalist Christians to cram your beliefs down everybody’s throats because I seriously doubt you’ll allow any sermon you don’t 100% agree with to be broadcast!

“If only we could somehow gather together all of the Christian children of America and send them into the deserts of Iraq and Afghanistan”

That’s actually the best thing you ever said. If you would put all american children in the iraqi desert there’s a quite high chance that they’d all be shot. One complete generation of Americans could be completely destroyed before they cause harm to the rest of the world…
    If only…

    Hy Shelly, I’m your supporter.

Why don’t you write about the biggest problems of Bush, Russia? Thing are getting very bad there. Due to the weakness of Clinton, democracy has nothing to do with Putin’s regime. I found a very alarming blog, http://users.livejournal.com/petr_fz . We must invade this country before people where die of their dictator!!!

We can take advantage of this by placing lots of crucifixes in all public places, for example hospitals, shopping malls and court-houses.

And who’s gonna pay for that?

We also need to install loudspeakers which broadcast Bible sermons and Christian music all over the country. This will put evil people in an constant agony and they will avoid all places where they are forced to hear the word of God.

No,this will be annoying if I’m trying to sleep or have headache. And maybe,I would get a baseball bat and destroy the damn speaker.

So,this is the ‘brilliant’ idea:let’s get rid of those people — who are considered to be satanists jsut because they’re not alienated as you or don’t believe in your god — by prohibiting then to get to a bunch of places, including hospitals, schools and so on…Can someone spank this guy? He’s nuts!

They will also be a lot easier to spot because its hard for them to keep a strait face when they are constantly facing god.

Facing?Like what?Looking at a crucifix? There’s nothing difficult in looking at a crucifix even if you don’t believe in what the Church sayas, like me.

This will give Jesus?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥ followers the opportunity to take them down before they commit more acts of murder or pedophilia.

You’d better include among those the priests that sexually abuse of children.

If only we could somehow gather together all of the Christian children of America and send them into the deserts of Iraq and Afghanistan, we could allow them to sing of God?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥s love to the towel-head terrorists.

First you’ve got to teach your children to be violent in order to survive such an environment — Oh,but I forgot you hate violence — ,as the so-called terrorists would kill’em all.Tom’s opinion is not as bad as it seems…

BTW,it’s a poor image manipulation the one you made.I can see the pixels, the gym floor and also hear a kind of Pump music.

  11. Lu-Tze December 13th, 2006 6:27 pm

Ohhh, I am an atheist, but I like cruzifixes. Nothing better to scratch your back with when it itches. And I love the idea of public bible sermon broadcasting. I always said there is not enough to laugh through out the day. Having a good laugh will surely cheer people up. Great suggestions!

how come you guys weren’t nominated for best conservative blog? I guess God doesn’t love you.

  13. Danny Ditto December 13th, 2006 8:05 pm

“Christian music” is a rather vague term. Do you include Christian Metal? A band like MORTIFICATION will scare away Muslim & Christian fundamentalists alike! What about Gregorian chants? No atheist would be offended by the lyrics unless they understood Latin but Christian fundamentalists who insist everybody “speak American” & hate anything Catholic will be driven up a wall! How about Black gospel & old Negro spirituals? That will annoy White racists to no end! Christian pop will bug gospel traditionalists & annoy anyone else who can’t stand any kind of pop music! I guess you’ll insist on something that won’t offend or annoy Christian fundamentalist gospel purists! I suppose any Jewish music is out of the question!

  14. G December 14th, 2006 2:47 am

ha! that’d be hilarious…havin’ a gilla playing constantly. everyone would be headed off to work dancing, with the important people being hoisted down the street on chairs. i’m loving it.

  15. ThePeople December 14th, 2006 8:50 pm

The picture you paint is no more an illusion of fanatical self deciet.(unless of course you plan to pay for all this by yourself. good luck getting Well-minded people to fund you.) yes im a satanist and i laugh at your proposal because all that money you spent your time getting i would sue right out of you. and then make you into some kind of lunatic.(i wont really need any help) by the way dont try and track me, i’m using a fake email and a public library computer. blah blah im going to hell… well yeah but they say beauty is in the eye of the beholder… except you’re blind and have been lied to…

Well, I?Ǭ¨?Ǭ•m a liberal agnostic and I certainly don?Ǭ¨?Ǭ•t care for krucifixes in my vicinity. The idea is thus worthless.

It would somewhat go on my nerves, but honestly, there?Ǭ¨?Ǭ•s nothing worse than TV advertising. And if every dam breakes, I would just resort to the best sporting equipment ever made in the USA (although my one is made in Germany!): The baseball bat. Failed again. PS: Sounds like from some books describing modern facist systems.

If only we could somehow gather together all of the Christian children of America and send them into the deserts of Iraq and Afghanistan, we could allow them to sing of God?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥s love to the towel-head terrorists.

Now that would give the expression collaterral damage a new meaning…

@ John B.: I share your opinion that There?Ǭ¨?Ǭ•s a lot going wrong in Russia, but an invasion is surely not an option here. The Russians still have all that nukes they built in the cold war and I think that no one of us would really like to see a global thermonuclear war happen.

  17. Sharky December 24th, 2006 4:36 am

And THAT, ladies and gentlemen, is what we call fascism!
I guarantee, that if you christians end up putting crucifixes in public places, they WILL be smashed. If you start putting speakers around the country, they as well, will be destroyed.
There is also no way possible that anyone but yourselves would agree to having such a law, to have those things required.
    It would be impossible.
But hey, who the fuck knows, they are talking about
re-instating the draft, this country is so messed up that American decency has died, and is still on the downfall.

THE GOVERNMENT LIES TO YOU, THE C.I.A. SMUGGLED HEROIN IN THE U.S. AFTER THE VIETNAM WAR BY USING BODY BAGS.

THEY ENDANGERED INNOCENT PEOPLE BY PUTTING A HIGHLY DANGEROUS DRUG ON OUR STREETS!!!!

WHY WOULD WE EVER TRUST THEM EVER AGAIN!?

  20. Atheist God January 30th, 2007 5:48 am

hahaha i just noticed this here and it’s really funny.
My question is, how much are you willing to pay, becuase people would get really fucked off with loudspeakers announcing prayers pretty quickly, including christians, and they’d proberly be nicked, smashed, and generally destroyed

  21. Kevin February 22nd, 2007 1:12 am

  28. Sensible June 5th, 2007 2:44 pm

I’m sorry, but when did america not have the right of freedom of religion. Please, keep preaching the good word in churches, and inviting people to church, but you can’t shove christianity down people’s throats. It will only make them less likely to come and find the truth.

  29. Jesus christ June 9th, 2007 4:36 am

I don’t think we should force Christianity on people nore should we go to there door. but let them make there choice and let them come to us. because in that hence we seem friendlier and less pushy(or just less of a bitch).

and on a side note why do people judge others on the way they look? i happen to wear black makeup and chains but i am one of the most loyal people to the bible in the world?

  30. ArtemisGoldfish June 26th, 2007 12:16 am

The image is funny. Which one? Both of them! I always find the image of a half-dead jewish zombie on pieces of timber rather amusing.

So, why do worshippers put their arms up like that? My theory was that it was to get better reception. It’s like, Arms down, 2 bars. Arms up, 5 bars.

Love the site, STR, keep up the good work.

  31. Seathanaich December 13th, 2007 5:09 pm

This is a brilliant site, and I’m a little surprised that so many atheists can’t figure out that it’s satire. On second hand, there actually ARE real people who would say this stuff, so maybe it is hard to see that it’s satire. Oh well - I’ll be back, great site. Cheers.
