Yesterday I received an urgent letter from the Reagan Ranch.? I?m sure you know that Young America?s Foundation saved the ranch from an evil developer that wanted to buy the land and destroy the legacy of this great President.? As the letter says, ?Here President Reagan signed his 1981 Economic Recovery Act ? the largest tax cut in American history? Here he renewed his commitment to rebuild America?s military?until he could go to Berlin and say: ?Mr. Gorbachev tear down this wall!?? And down it came.?? Now, while they saved the ranch, they still gotta keep it looking as bright and sparkly as the day that President Reagan killed Communism.? I?m sure that all American Patriots are gonna want to hop on over to http://supporters.yaf.org/ and thank President Reagan for making this world a safer place.? AND they?ll send you a bumper sticker and address labels!? Beats the heck out of a PBS tote bag with a picture of Stalin on it!

You make it sound as if the sole world of Reagan brought down the wall. Well it didn’t (all by itself). Most work has been done by Germans and I believe Proud German will have more to say to this.

Reagan did not kill Communism, it collapsed due its inherent inadequacies, like a house built of sand in wet weather.

And that evil developer… did he not happen to be ‘American’?

My check is in the mail. Ronald Reagan stands right along with the current gentleman in the White House George W. Bush as one of the greatest presidents in American history. He was a fine actor too as anyone who has seen “Hellcats of the Navy” and “Cattle Queen of Montana” will testify. Them commie bastards (pardon my French) took one look at the big fellow and backed off. We would all be speaking Russian and calling each other “comrade” if some weenie like Bill Clinton was president back then. We still have one commie area around San Francisco but the rest of the country is free although with the Demo-crats in control I don’t know how long that will last. Thank God for men like Ronald Reagan! Hallelujah! Praise Jesus!

Let’s be even-handed here. Who’re the developers and how can I send them a thank-you note?

“Yesterday I received an urgent letter from the Reagan Ranch.”

-Can we see a copy of this letter, as in a full colour photograph so that we may see wat it contains, becuase i duobt u did, or if u did, i doubt it was about anything much.
-Did the contents of this supposed letter contain anything about you being a bunch of nazis?

“I?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥m sure you know that Young America?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥s Foundation saved the ranch from an evil developer that wanted to buy the land and destroy the legacy of this great President.”

-Are you certain he wanted to build on it?
    -Was the buyer american?
-How would it destroy the legacy?

    ——————————————————–

“Here President Reagan signed his 1981 Economic Recovery Act ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¨ the largest tax cut in American history”

-wow, you actualy have facts in here, amazing :O
-u sure he signed the bill at the ranch? cuz i couldn’t find anything on it, evidence would be nice.

    ——————————————————–

“Here he renewed his commitment to rebuild America?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥s military”

-He had to rebuild his military, after the biggest fuck up in American history, ‘Vietnam’.

    ——————————————————–

“until he could go to Berlin and say: ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?Mr. Gorbachev tear down this wall!?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ? And down it came.”

here is a rather large extract on why it was put up in the first place.

“The Berlin Wall (German: Berliner Mauer or Antifaschistischer Schutzwall) was a separation barrier between West Berlin and East Germany (the German Democratic Republic), which closed the border between East and West Berlin for 28 years. Construction on the wall began on August 13, 1961, and it was dismantled in the weeks following November 9, 1989. The Berlin Wall was the most prominent part of the GDR border system and an iconic symbol of the Cold War.

Conceived by the East German administration of Walter Ulbricht and approved by Soviet leader Nikita Khrushchev[1], it was built during the post-World War II period of divided Germany, in an effort to stop the drain of labour and economic output associated with the daily migration of huge numbers of professionals and skilled workers from East to West Berlin, and the attendant defections, which hurt the Communist bloc economically and politically. It decreased emigration (escapes - “Republikflucht” in German) from 2.5 million between 1949 and 1962 to 5,000 between 1962 and 1989.[2]

However, the Wall was a propaganda disaster for East Germany and the communist bloc. It became a key symbol of what Western powers regarded as Communist tyranny, particularly after the high-profile shootings of would-be defectors. Political liberalization in the late 1980s, associated with the decline of the Soviet Union, led East Germany to relax border restrictions, culminating in mass demonstrations and the fall of the East German government. On November 9, 1989, the government announced that crossing of the border would be permitted. Masses of East Germans approached and then crossed the wall, and were joined by crowds of West Germans in a celebratory atmosphere. The Wall was destroyed by a euphoric public over the next several weeks, and its fall was the first step toward German reunification, which was formally concluded on October 3, 1990.”

Hmm so was basically built to help communists and democrats, but it didn’t quite work becuase it alerted other countries to them, so it sorta bummed them out rofl.
also it came down cuz the let ppl through, and they all swarmed through, and just tore the wall down in the process.

Yesterday I received an urgent letter from the Reagan Ranch. I?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥m sure you know that Young America?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥s Foundation saved the ranch from an evil developer that wanted to buy the land and destroy the legacy of this great President. As the letter says, ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?Here President Reagan signed his 1981 Economic Recovery Act ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¨ the largest tax cut in American history?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?Ǭ?Here he renewed his commitment to rebuild America?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥s military?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?Ǭ?until he could go to Berlin and say: ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?Mr. Gorbachev tear down this wall!?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ? And down it came.?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?

Errm, Reagan never came to Berlin and said Gorbachov to tear the wall down. In fact, Gorbi told Honnecker (No 1 in the old DDR(That?Ǭ¨?Ǭ•s German Democratic Republic! We, todays Germany, are the BRD or Federal Republic of Germany) to take down that wall without anyone telling him to do (and that?Ǭ¨?Ǭ•s why we Germans still like him!).
Honnecker first refused, but a few days later he had eastern Germany rebell (and the Russians did not help him that time!) against him forcing him to quit office. His successor learned from it, opened the border and just a little time later, my country was one again. I must know, I was there!

Oh, and it seems you?Ǭ¨?Ǭ•re confusing Stalin with communism. Let me tell you: Stalin?Ǭ¨?Ǭ•s reign was perhaps called communistic, but it was a simple dictatorship and thus basically the opposite of real communism (which basically means that the people of a country directly reign themselves!).

Reagan didn?Ǭ¨?Ǭ•t win the Cold War. HE was just lucky enough to be president when the Russians quitted the game. In fact, he almost started WWIII and blew our planet to smithereens.

Them commie bastards (pardon my French) took one look at the big fellow and backed off.

Nope, they did take a look at their bank accounts and were wise enough to begin saving money instead of purchasing more guns. Something America should consider, too.

    PS: Hilarious Joke:
A driver is stuck in a traffic jam on the highway. Suddenly a man knocks on his window. The driver rolls down his window and asks, “What’s going on?”

“Terrorists down the road have kidnapped George W. Bush and Dick Cheney,” the man says, “They’re asking $100 million ransom. Otherwise they’re going to douse them with gasoline and set them on fire. We’re going from car to car taking up a collection.”

The driver asks, “How much is everyone giving on average?”

The man responds: “Most people are giving about a gallon.”

Uh … wasn’t Ronald Reagan one of the presidents who supplied the mujihadeen in Afghanistan with weapons, training and financial support, which enabled them to kick the Soviets out of Afghanistan and establish an Islamic state? And don’t you think that by fomenting Islamic radicalism in an attempt to destablize the USSR, old Ronnie (and let’s not forget Carter, before him) bears some responsibility for 9/11?

BTW - read what proud German has to say about the fall of the Berlin wall. The actual story is somewhat more complicated than your dumbass version of Ronald Reagan ordering Gorbachev to tear down the wall.
