He writes -
I have to urgently move? some? money out of here as soon as I can have some assistance because of the restrictions here, and? I have? discovered a secure way of taking care of that,? I will explain the source money to you when I? am convinced that you sincerely? want to work with me.
Concealing? this money here has been a big problem/source of? distraction, and what I? require from you now is the assurance that you? will honor my conditions, mostly as regards? taking care of? my share, and preserving all information relating to this, I am offering you? 5 million dollars ($5,000,000) for your role.?? Should you have reasons to reject this offer, please destroy this mail as any leakage will be too bad for us.? I will continue with the details when you signify your intention to work with me. Please send your response to christophermauro@aim.com for safety reasons.

This is great, exactly the sort of thing that ShelleyTheRepublican is here to do - we can save the soldiers even when the democ-RAT party have deserted them.
The snowing American flags are just a tiny bit annoying.
He?Ǭ¨?Ǭ•s offering 5 millions. And that would be just the tip of the Iceberg. Sorry, but no simple soldier earns that much money. Everyone believing this would deserve the title “biggest moron on earth”. So where did he get that money from? Now there aren?Ǭ¨?Ǭ•t that many ways to get that much money, especially in Iraq. This means that one of the following 4 points (or several) will be describing the truth behind it:
1. He has stolen the money. (From Saddams treasury, from al Queida, from the Army, whatever…)
2. He has made some deals with local crime organisations (likely would be selling them weapons stolen from the army or selling drugs to his comrades.)
3. That mail is a fake and contained a virus.
4. He?Ǭ¨?Ǭ•s a liar.
And even if he?Ǭ¨?Ǭ•s honest, when helping him you would disobey military and civilian law. Law that has been there before the democrats have been elected! You would be a criminal!

Addendum to 4: The whole thing is a scam trying to get you to give that guy your bank account data or something like this so that he canearn some money by stealing it from you.
E-mails like this one are often about the daughter of a former African general. This one is a bit more original.
Nobody supports our brave troops more than Jarvis Fernley who happens to be a veteran himself and damn proud of it. I contacted this fellow but he needs some big bucks as security for sending those millions even though we are both proud Christians and Republicans which are the most honest, truthworthy people of the earth. I trust this man 100 per cent! I am still waiting for a large amount of money and diamonds to be transferred from South Africa in a similar arrangement with a nice Christian lady who I sent $10,000 to so unfortunately I can’t help this fine gentleman out this time. I told him if he had any other large shipments of cash to dispose of in the future when I have a security deposit to please get back to me after my riches and diamonds arrive from South Africa. We must support our troops at all times and if there is something in it for us that is mighty fine too. A good part of my newly found wealth will go to our church and I will be proud to make a contribution to this site too. God is indeed love! Praise Jesus!

This sounds like the Nigerian scams happening on the internet. What idiot would believe this?
Jarvis, unfortunately I have to tell you that you mos likely fell into one of the more popular internet scams. This means that said letter was NOT send by a nice christian person, but by a mere criminal posing as such a person. I?Ǭ¨?Ǭ•m afraid that you will never see your money back, nor anything of the promised money or diamonds will ever be sent.
Such tricks are used by ruthless criminals to deprave honest people of their hard earned money. Those criminals use stories they have invented just for the reason to get someone to believe them and send the money. It?Ǭ¨?Ǭ•s a fraud.
There are even some international police agencies that suspect that quite a portion of this money goes directly or indirectly into the support of terroristic organisations.
I hope you don?Ǭ¨?Ǭ•t take this as a lie, Jarvis, just because it was said to you by someone with other political opinions. We are all civilized humans after all and I think we both have a bad opinion about criminal actions.

Ok then, if this was a scam by STR.comn, then they’re in really big shit, becuase I have contacted the police about this, and they are passing it onto the correct authorities. They have heard about this scam before, and reckon the guy has made a fair wack off it, so please people DO NOT give him any details and you will be ok, also DO NOT even consider mailing him, any money lost will not be able to be recovered but will instead be put towards helping people in africa, that all i no, so don’t ask for more.
