Chatting With Charlie: Continental Drift

Liberal geologists often cite “continental drift” as evidence for an old-earth. This of course is wildly wrong because it contradicts all known biblical facts.
STR’s chief scientist Charlie explains how Noah’s flood caused continental drift not in millions of years but in a matter of days. Charlie does not dispute that continental drift occurred - he only shows that the majority of today’s atheist geologists have misunderstood the speed of the process by a factor of millions.
This is the kind of great science that is only possible when you accept Jesus into your heart. Now can somebody explain to me why they do not teach Charlie’s discoveries in American schools?

wow, that fella was pretty scatterbrained; he couldn’t formulate a full sentence. i’m not going to nitpick his statements, but as a geologist who studies the processes that occur on earth today and only then (after observation) makes an interpretation, i really do find fault with a lot of his logic. two examples:
1. when trying to explain continental drift, he talks about heating and cooling of the oceans to produce “flooding”. problem here, is that cooling of the oceans would not necessarily make them receed unless a significant portion of the earth’s fresh water was instantaneously trapped into glacial ice. simple concept of volume and space folks…
2. when talking about laminar deposition (flat beds of sediment), he states that there are no time gaps/irregularities between strata. this is completely false: gaps of time represented by erosion of a surface occur everywhere in the sediment record, and they are called unconformities, nonconformities and paraconformities. basically, they represent a period in time where the ancient environment shifted from depositional to erosional, so instead of sediment being deposited there, sediment was taken away. tons of examples of both of these environemtns exist today, and i’d be more than happy to supply links and explain them if you would so desire.

that really made no sense. I’m not sure if he is ignoring all geological knowledge to this point or if he is really that thick. I’ll give you a clue it’s not the first.

I saw many of “Charlies” Videos on God’s Tube. I don’t agree with anything he say’s. But, what bothers me is that he doesn’t give a last name so I can do more research on Charlie. I have googled many times and still no last name for Charlie. Is he afraid? WHO IS HE!?!?!?!?

I often discus these kind of things with some creationist friends, they often seem pretty crazy, but they pale into insignificance compared to this buffoon, I dare not show them this for fear of embarrassing them
