There’s really not much to be afraid of when flying, the odds of being in a crash are astronomical, and with all the security the odds of being on a hijacked flight are practically nil.
And even if the plane got hijacked hundreds of passengers vs. at most 15 attackers are pretty good odds.
Either way, it is nice that she prayed to help herself conquer her fears because that’s one thing that prayer can definitely do.

Being afraid of flying is not rational to begin with. In the USA, chances are higher that some stupid wreck-publican redneck grabs his shotgun and shoots you for stepping on his lawn. Or to die in a car accident.

I am Shelley’s mom and I want you all to know how she came to develop this sick fixation on baseball bats. When she was a teenager often was the afternoon when I would find her in her room in the basement sexually abusing herself with a Louisville Slugger.
