I probably don’t need to warn you about our dumb neighbor to the north, but I want to remind you how harmful they can be to our children.
Last week I caught my daughter Lisa watching the “Kenny Vs. Spenny” television show. She told me that they are very funny, but thankfully I have a suspicious mind, as you know and I investigated a little. What I found out is more than shocking!
I always know that the Canadians don’t adhere much to the laws of the Bible and don’t give much about morals and decency but I was honestly surprised that crap like Kenny vs. Spenny can legally be aired on Canadian television. I don’t even know where to start. Kenny is definitely worst than Spenny (what kind of name is that by the way?). They are French-Canadians from Toronto. Kenny insults decency and God all the time! He refers to the Lord Jesus as “my bitch” and tells his audience that he hates God and he tortures his “friend” Spenny. He is just a vile and disgusting person, maybe even worse then Bill Clinton!
It’s getting worse: In that TV show they also worship Satan. Yes, they do. In the show: “Who can stay in a haunted house the longest” Kenny sacrifices a lamb and dances around a pentagram. Can you allow this to happen, folks? I don’t think so. I am confident that this show will never be aired in the USA, but we can’t be sure. I want you to become active and keep our airwaves clean!
You might ask yourself: How did I punish my daughter for watching this filth when she knew better? I am not proud of myself but I had to punish her severely. I had to ask my husband Steven to beat her with his belt and she is grounded for the next 6 month. Now you will have plenty of time to read in the bible.
This might sound harsh to you but it’s the only way to make a decent person out of her! Children need discipline. Spare the rod, spoil the child!

Shelley, I’m sorry to say, but you are displaying some quite racist behaviour (yes, I spelled it “iour” because I am a Canadian citizen, and that is how I was taught). Racism is the belief that all members of a race possess characteristics or abilities specific to that race, especially so as to distinguish it as inferior or superior to another race or races. I’m sure that you could spot multiple such instances on this page alone. Shelley is not the only one being racist though; many of the responses were equally as racist against America. I do not see how you find it logical to condemn an entire nation, especially one as large and ethnically diverse as Canada, because of the actions of a select group of people.
I have seen the show Kenny vs. Spenny, and I too find it appalling that such filth is on TV. This, however, is not justification to inculpate an entire nation. There are scores of other programs airing worldwide that are equally as repulsive as Kenny vs. Spenny, and many that are worse. Do you condemn each of these nations as well? Even if you do, simply because the CRTC (similar to America’s FCC) has standards that allow immoral shows to be broadcast, it does not mean that the entire nation should be painted as immoral.
Your opinions are your own, and they are to be respected, as are the opinions of others. You have the right to share your views. This includes your interpretations of Christianity and the Bible. I too call myself a Christian, but there are many aspects of our beliefs that I can clearly see are different. Our approaches to evangelism are strikingly dissimilar. The Lord Jesus is a God of love. Your actions, from what I have gathered, seem to hardly take this into consideration. Yes, Christians are called to elucidate what sins are being committed to the sinner, but there are surely methods entailing more tact than those you employ. Picketing, as I have seen on the news on multiple occasions, seems to be a favoured method of rebuke amongst your congregation. This method does not seem to align with God?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥s characteristic of love. One can surely approach a target audience in a more effective way. I truly wonder how efficient your means of evangelism are. Your picketing may seize a lot of attention, especially when broadcast on national news, but I have a hard time believing that your signs lead to many, if any, conversions. If you and the members of your congregation were to try approaches with love and forgiveness at their core, I am certain you would find more people willing to talk with you and ultimately be led to The Lord.
Next, I would like to address those that read this blog and consider all Christians to be similar in nature to Shelley. Just as much as you can obviously reason that all Canadians are not going to burn in hell, I?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥m sure you can also reason that all Christians are not like Shelley. To chastise all Christians because of this blog is not too different from the racism that is so rife on this webpage. Sure, there are a number of Christians who wave signs and shout into bullhorns, but there are also a number of Christians who are able to love their neighbours as themselves, no matter what their sins. Christians can be very accepting and kind, loving people, just as the Lord their God was when he came to the Earth some two thousand years ago. Jesus himself ate with sinners. You do not read in the Bible that he stood outside their homes waving signs that said they were are going to hell (or things like ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?Thank God for Leprosy?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?). Eating with them, he had a chance to actually converse. Jesus gained a spectacular following when he was on this planet. He did not achieve this through hate-spreading means. Go ahead and point out what Jesus did to the markets in the temples, but he hated the sin, not the sinners. You can clearly see this through the rest of his actions throughout the Bible.
Back to the racism for a moment, whoever it was that attacked one of the commenters for being Australian, I would like to point out that to condemn him because his ancestors were likely criminals is genetic fallacy, a philosophically flawed argument.
I am uncertain of the extent of your research preceding your posts on this blog, but I think you might find it beneficial to further study some of your unfamiliar topics. This would allow for your opinions to be supported better. For example, your comment on world superpowers. China is expected to surpass the United States as the world?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥s largest economy by 2038 if their current growth rate continues. It?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥s GDP is expected to surpass that of Germany sometime next year, and Japan?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥s by 2017. Russia and India are also expected to become major world superpowers within a similar timeframe. This is strictly considering that you even accept the world superpower view as relevant, as many people have regarded it as irrelevant since the end of the Cold War.
To those who lambasted Shelley for using corporal punishment on her child, I would like to say that I too was spanked as a child on a number of occasions, but there is most certainly a line between reasonable punishment and beating. I personally think spanking can be reasonable under certain circumstances, I definitely deserved it from time to time when I was younger, but I think to beat a child beyond reasonable disciplinary measures would be sin. I am not here to question your parenting abilities, and I?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥m sure you and your husband can discern that line for yourselves. Please allow me to being by reminding you that as a parent, are you not responsible for your childs actions if they have not yet reached the age of consent? Why blame a Canadian television program for its content, when obviously there’s a large enough number of viewers, for the well respected network of Comedy Central to pick it up? The truth of the matter is that only YOU are to blame for not living up to your parental duties to guard the actions of your child.
