Sunday Prayer

Heavenly Father
As my daughter turns fourteen today
I selfishly ask a prayer for her
I pray that her momma and I have brung her up right
That she will know and embrace Your love
And not turn her back on you like some of the other wicked sluts that have left our church and your protection for a life of crack, cheap vodka, devil-worship and prostitution
We pray that keeping her away from sports, as You commanded, will prevent her from the foul sin and horrible fate of lesbianism
We have done all we can do, Lord
We have not spared the rod
But, instead, used it with as much frequency as it took to learn the lessons she needed to
We hope this is enough
But it is Your will and not ours
Happy Birthday, Kitten!
Love, Daddy
Amen
God is Love!
BBN

HE never commanded anything in that direction. And where did you get that patty idea that sport could cause lesbianism?

Hmm, someone should call the cops. Child abuse is not funny.

Jesus said: Don’t judge others, and God won’t judge you.

“We pray that keeping her away from sports, as You commanded, will prevent her from the foul sin and horrible fate of lesbianism”
First of all, sports are healthy, but I guess that fact never entered the underdeveloped deep south, or you’re just too stubborn to listen to it. Secondly, nowhere in the Bible it says that sport it bad, neither that it encourages lesbianism.

For once I actually partially agree with you. Order and discipline are very important values in the development of children. However, I do think you put the emphasis a bit too much on disciplining your daughter. There should always be a delicate balance between love, providing a warm home for your child to live in, and discipline.

This proves it! BBN is a pedophile and a child-abuser! You should be ashamed of yourself! Spanking your children? You make me sick!

“I pray that her momma and I have brung her up right” I would like to point out that Jesus will not be able to make sense of that comment because you have made a grammatical error. You should have said “BROUGHT her up right” instead of “brung her up right” :D

Hmmm, so it seems that you try and force God’s Will into your daughter by inflicting pain upon her. What a shame. And how the hell do sports stimulate lesbianism? I told you that all christian children are brainwashed.
When your daughter remembers you she will remember a stupid, violent, hateful and petty little man. If your daughter ever has children I sincereley hope she keeps them far away from you.
Hi BBN, I growed up in the 60ies and I got much hard spankings from my father, he beated me a lot. He said, this kind of punishment is the best.
But it dont saves the children, cause my experinces are different. After a while I became aggressive against my father. As I became a teenager in the early 70ies, I escaped and joined the Hippie movement. Demonstrated against the War in Vietnam, had long hair, lived in a community, smoked hash, played E-guitar and so on. (also in Europe we had a big antiwar movement in the 70ies).
At the end of the 70ies I cut my hair and returned to my mother again (father died some years before). My Hippie time was over. What I want to tell you is, many of these (old) Hippies in the past, fled from their parents and their extreme strict upbringings and hard punishments. Many of these guys went to India in the 70ies, also Afghanistan, Amsterdam, Crete and so on. (I met a lot of hippies from the States as well). I lived in Crete for some years (was a nice time!). But some of them didnt return, died by heroin or other hard drugs. A strict upbringing can be ok, but your child must have a warm and tolerant home as well. Forgive her, if she`ll make some “sins”. A child which grows up in fear, will leave their parents as fast as possible, this is a fact! (Later I was social worker for drug abusing in Vienna, I remember, nearly all of these young people had an extreme strict upbringing in her childhood)
I agree with Thomas from Holland and Proud German. They are completely right. Of course, I am sure you love your daughter. But take care and words like “We have not spared the rod”, I hope you daughter will not break out in some years. Give her a save and warm home too!
oh well, it’s her birthday, and you can tell her parents care for her. I’m guessing she’s going into seventh grade since christian schools usually keep kids behind a year.
This ISN’T a joke?!
Poor kid. Not only does the little tyke get beaten at home, she’s also told that the Lord condones it. I wish I could be there they day she sheds her weird super “Christian” childhood and becomes a respectable (sport playing?) adult. I suppose she’s home schooled right? Well, when she grows up and goes to collage (I’d be a senior in collage by then,)I’ll look for her.(I’m easy enough to find. I’ve never meet another person named Hester) She’ll need a friend to help her adapt to a world not controlled by her sadist parents.
Happy Birthday Chick! Wish hard and maybe child services will take them away!
Love Hester.

Yes, it is.
Just wondering if the author’s real name will be censored here: Robert Vinton :-)
Here is Peter again, I want to tell you something more:
Ask people, who had many troubles in their life and with their life, ask them what kind of upbringing they had and what kind of parents. A high number of them (who braked the law), had an extreme strict upbringing and hard corporal punishments. (I was social worker and I heared many childhood stories) Told you in my first comment, I had also very strict parents. (Finished a convent school too). Many times they told to me, “If you will make a mortal sin, you will come directly to hell - the devil is always waiting!”
I was in fear, my whole childhood and finally with 19 I escaped, came even back with 28, but to my mom only. Cause she was tolerant too, my father not. My father just said, strict upringing and hard punishments are the best way to become a good and Godfearing person. But it was different. 10 years of my life I was a hippie - many years I was aggressive against people like my father was. Now I am 50 years old and I have found a good life`s journey. But till today, sometimes I actually dream my father beats me. Can you imagine, I am 50 years old and this happend in the 60ies!
I still remember to some of my friends too, who had the same kind of parents - all of them escaped, joined the Hippie-movement and left their homeland and their parents for years. Fortunatelly most of them came back and now they have an own family too. But no one of them beats his child, never! A strict upbringing can be ok, but without these kind of corporal punishments and brichings in the name of God. A child, which grows up in fear, leaves their parent`s home as fast as possible.
Greetings from Vienna!
