BBNHOBG - The War On Christmas

Dr. Hon. Rev. Dobson hit the nail right on the head - 2007 is the perfect year to put a stop to the war on Christmas.? I’m sick of being treated like a second class citizen and having people crossing the street whenever they see me!

God is Love!

    Billy you are so right - It’s still November and already the war on Christmas has begun. The other day the kids and I were out caroling, singing the praises and telling the folk of our town how Jesus died for their sins… well not all but some of them looked at us like we are crazy and told us that Christmas wasn’t for another month and that we should shut-up about Jesus. That’s proof that rampant secularism is killing our town.

    Secularism in not a rampant being, It is flying, and Its name is the Flying Pasta Monster ! Beware of His wrath, for he may send you right down to Hell !

    I’d like to be the first to point out that Wiccans aren’t *exactly* witches. Essentially Wicca comes from a play on witchcraft but is centered around the Earth.

    I can’t really delve into detail because what I know comes from a few friends that practice it, but I once got a lecture about how Wiccans aren’t witches and a Sorcerer, a Wizard, and a Warlock are three different things…

    The reason you don’t see religious signs up at these various stores is because, once again, believe it or not; not everybody is Christian. If you want to allow your ‘Thank you God’ signs, then you have to allow similar signs in the names of other gods. Frankly, when I’m shopping at Canadian Tire I wanna see them giving props to my man Odin, or Zeus. They’re gods, why does nobody thank them?

    Do *not* dis Clint Eastwood. Best actor/director/living dead EVER. So what if he’s a skeleton these days? He’s still epic and deserves respect. A shirt with a rainbow colour? So like… anywhere between purple and red? A shirt that says ‘I love Jesus’ wouldn’t work for everybody… not everybody believes in Jesus, or that Jesus was anything special.

    People can’t visually see that you’re a Christian to cross the street…

    Wow… definitely quit paying attention for the past few minutes…

    Now I *do* disagree with ‘Family Trees’ and ‘Holiday Trees’ because it plays on the ultra-politically correct society we’re finding ourselves in. I feel this doesn’t encourage acceptance and tolerance but, in fact, encourages fear of difference.
    I mean, what about other religious knick-knackery? Like the Hanukiah (The Hanukkah Menorah), will it be renamed the; ‘Holiday Candelabra’? I think we should keep the names and simply tolerate that different religions do things differently.

    It seems like you’re afraid of having happen to your religion what every other religion goes through… when it happened to them it was justified but when it happens to Christianity it’s suddenly this vicious attack? This war? Typical STR…

    Ugh… get *new* music… that ‘patience like a prophet’ sounds like it was recorded in the ’20’s.

    I find it *very* *very* hard to believe that Christianity will be made illegal. That’s hypocrisy on a level that only STR could ever muster. Besides, what about the ‘Patriot Act’? Strip away suspected terrorists’ rights… that is so totally unfair and we all know whether it’s intentional or not, it’s racially aimed.

    An article on the Ichthys (Jesus Fish) for those interested;
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ichthys

    I haven’t it in me to read the whole article today.

    How do you like that? Christmas was mentioned in that winter holiday thing… Funny how they read over it and ignored it four seconds later… this way EVERYBODY would be included, and, so long as nobody has to make political corrections (pshhh ‘Holiday Tree’), I think it’s the way to go. It’s in no way about making Christians feel oppressed.

    And you want a religion of death? How about the crusades? Or the Christian animal sacrifices? Or whole civilizations wiped up by an uncaring fascist God? Punishing innocents for what they had *nothing* to do with… God liked Abel’s sacrifice of sheep over Cain’s of fruit… I mean come *on*…

    When did God declare America his chosen land??? Show me where that’s evident in the Bible! Kids getting beat up for being Christian? When and where? This would be the first I’ve heard of it (In America).

    Wasn’t Jesus’ last name Christ?
    Wouldn’t ‘How do you spell that?’ be a question?

    I invite everybody to check into my article about political correctness;
    http://twilightcorner.blogspot.com/2007/11/politically-correct.html
    I touch on the winter holidays at the end. Basically I feel we should all just accept what wishes somebody gives me… if I wish you a Merry Christmas and you’re Jewish just happily wish me a happy Hanukkah in return and let us enjoy our holidays.

    …and it’s not even December yet,

    Y’know, I’m all for what Christmas represents, and I’m all for the spirit of the holiday, but you should at least wait until the appropriate month until you start saying it…

    Scriptual references for 1:24-2:32 please.
    And please tell me: is this site a joke?
    If not I think I might have to move to Europe… this place is just scary…
    Anyway… Christmas was just a way for Christians to more easily integrate paganism with christianity, it doesn’t have anything to do with Christ historically.

    Rook: Well, considering that “Billy Bob Neck” is the stage name of a New England-area comedian…yes, the site’s a joke. Breathe easy, friend.

    @Lance
    O_O *gaspeth* are you serious? The real Billy Bob Neck doesn’t even reside in america? OMG it all makes sense now!!! I was wondering why he got so much attention from the BBC. If he were the real deal then he would have his own 1 hour special like those Westborough Baptist douchebags!

    “Please go an d read”
    -What? read a blog that can be originating from the U.K.?

    “and watch his video?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s at”
    -none of these links can solidly prove what you say Ebenezer/Billy Bob Bush /Billy bob neck/Shelley XD

    @Wraith:

    Props for the political correctness article. It’s great.

    However, just a few qualifiers, for the normal people who don’t have a penchant for ancient mediterranean cultures.

    “Or the Christian animal sacrifices?”

    Jewish…although I’m pretty sure STR would be dumb enough to deny that Judaism and Christianity have anything in common.

    “Wasn?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢t Jesus?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢ last name Christ?

    Ben Joseph…but again just a techicality. Christ is a Greek title (take that STR) which means savior.

    And here’s another oddity which has nothing to do with this discussion or real life. Jesus’ hebrew name was actually Joshua. Jesus is (again) the graco-arabic translation.

    Peace everyone, and happy holidays!
