Huckabee’s on fire

Millions of Americans are realizing that Mike Huckabee represents a fresh new trend in American politics ? the thing most voters notice first his his astonishing modesty.

While Clinton, Obama and Rudi are keen to claim every little success in their lives as their own private tower of babel, mike freely admits that he is merely the instrument of God’s will: When asked to explain his success, Mike noticably lacks the boastful airs of his rivals: ?There’s only one explanation for it,? he says, ?and it’s not a human one. It’s the same power that helped a little boy with two fish and five loaves feed a crowd of five thousand people,

feeding_fivethousand.jpg

The Feeding of the Five-Thousand is one of Mike’s favorite bible stories - probably because it reminds him of his own vocation. Like Jesus, Mike has been chosen to lead a nation towards spiritual salvation. Will America listen? It must!

Unlike John Kerry, Mike’s not the sort of person who’s unafraid to apologize when he makes a mistake. Just the other day he apologized to his fellow presidential hopeful Mitt Romney for questions he raised about his Mormon beliefs. Mike apologized for reminding the sensible Christian folk of America that Mormons believe that Jesus and Satan are brothers. He apologized for speaking the truth about Mormonism, an evil cult which everybody knows is a perversion of the Christian faith. Sometimes saying sorry is the hardest thing in the world, and I believe Americans want a President who can take tough decisions like that.

mitt_romney_mormon_museum.jpg

Last week Mike Huckabee apologized for pointing out that his rival Mitt Romney believes in Mormonism, a freakish cult founded by New York charlatan Joseph Smith. Smith claimed that an additional gospel was revealed to him by the means of two golden tablets delivered by a winged angel called ‘Moroni’. Yes, Mitt believes in this preposterous rubbish and Mike has gallantly apologized for any offense he may have caused by pointing this fact out.

I’ve been asking friends what they think of Governor Huckabee, and the response is almost unanimous: America is sick of the corrupt perversion of secularist government. We want a leader like Mike who will turn to the Holy Bible for inspiration in just about every situation he’s going to encounter. From taxes to national defense and drug control, his number one policy advisor will be Jesus Christ.

As a former Baptist minister, Mike is refreshingly honest about his intent: “I got into politics because I knew government didn?t have the real answers, that the real answers lie in accepting Jesus Christ into our lives. ? I hope we answer the alarm clock and take this nation back for Christ.

That’s exactly what we need right now. America is in the middle of a crisis ? I’m not talking about the economy or the war, I’m taking about the biggest issue of all, the soul of this nation. I believe that God has chosen Mike Huckabee as the the instrument of our salvation.

Can you imagine how great America would be if we could only make everybody obey God’s law - that is why I intend to vote for Mike in 08.

    Ugh, too sore and tired from work to tear apart the entire article… I’ll leave it with;
‘Separation of Church and Government is essential for a country of multiple religions’

You can’t run your country based on your religious following because not everybody believes your religious following… it wouldn’t work.

I’ve heard STR say before, “The wisdom of the US creators” or something to that effect, advocating them. Okay if that is true, the “Freedom of Religion” one of the major reasons this part of the world was even populated, should be continued.

And you can’t spell “Moroni” without “Moron.” LOL!

Go, Huck, go! What a great Christian Leader he will be. All for Jesus!

There will be a new Sonrise when Huck is sworn in for His glory. Praise the Lord!

Funny to think that George Bush is leading a “secularist government”. I always thought otherwise xD

  7. Mormons ARE Christia December 15th, 2007 12:16 pm

The Church of Jesus Christ (LDS) is often accused by Evangelical pastors of not believing in Christ and, therefore, not being a Christian religion. This article http://mormonsarechristian.blogspot.com/ helps to clarify such misconceptions by examining early Christianity’s comprehension of baptism, the Godhead, the deity of Jesus Christ and His Atonement.

The Church of Jesus Christ (LDS) adheres more closely to First Century Christianity and the New Testament than any other denomination. For example, Harper?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s Bible Dictionary entry on the Trinity says ?¢‚Ǩ?ìthe formal doctrine of the Trinity as it was defined by the great church councils of the fourth and fifth centuries is not to be found in the New Testament.?¢‚Ǩ¬ù

Perhaps the reason the pastors denigrate the Church of Jesus Christ (LDS) is to protect their flock (and their livelihood).

I for one welcome our new Christian Overlords.

To our future Christian leaders, I am a trusted member of the so-called secular community and can be counted on to assist in rounding up and identifying members of the secular resistance.

I understand that the new Bible camps and government re-education facilities only exists for our own good. Furthermore, the clamp down is necessary not only to keep us safe from the Islamics but also to keep up morals under the new regime.

Thank you Christian ?É?ìbermen. May your swords purify a nation.

Some Republicans and conservatives think Huckabee wouldn’t make a great President! Phyllis Schlafly doesn’t like “The Huckster” from Arkansas and says he made a mess of the State as Governor! http://eagleforum.org/blog/2007/10/phyllis-schlafly-on-huckabee.html Robert Novak calls him a false conservative! http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2007/11/huckabee_the_false_conservativ.html

    Mormonism is clearly not Christian.

What Does Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney Really Believe?

    * He believes that Jesus Christ is Satan’s brother.
    * He believes that God lives near a planet called “Kolob.”
    * He believes in baptizing dead people.
    * He believes that Jesus is married to a goddess wife.
    * He believes that The Garden of Eden was in Missouri.
    * He believes that it was impossible for Negroes to go to Heaven before 1978.
    * He believes that Jesus has children from his wife or wives.
    * He believes that he is going to become a god.
    * He believes he will own his own personal planet after he dies.
    * He believes the real Christian God is not eternal but rather that He was once a man on some other planet besides Earth!
    * He believes he needs to wear magical underwear created by Mormons and he is never to take it off unless he is bathing.
    * He believes it is a sin to drink anything containing caffeine. And that even includes True American?¢‚Äû¬¢ drinks like Coca-Cola!
    * He believes children between the ages of 18-21 should wear name badges, ride bicycles and always smile.

Wow Richard, I’m impressed you where able to think up that much. Despite the technicalities Mormanism and Christianity are two very closely related religions.

  12. Richard 23 December 16th, 2007 2:48 am

The point isn’t whether they’re closely related or not. Christianity is Christianity. Mormonism is clearly something else.

  13. Link48010 December 16th, 2007 4:27 am

“The point isn?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢t whether they?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢re closely related or not.”

Yes it is. 1+3 and 5-1 are both four. If the outcome is the same, how it got there mans exaclty, nothing. The moral ideals (or most at least) between the Mormons and Christians are almost identical, I’m not a religious expert, but both Christianity and Mormonism are pro life, pro moral religions. Saying they are different is like saying OS/2 Warped isn’t made my Microsoft (Geek moment :P).

  14. Raaine Alexei December 16th, 2007 4:30 am

“Christianity is Christianity. Mormonism is clearly something else.”
–ummm, no. Mormonism is Mormonism. if it were anything else, it wouldn’t be mormonism. Mormonism is closely related, but is not christianity. would someone explain to me why believing something different makes you a terrorist.

“He believes that The Garden of Eden was in Missouri.”

Interesting that, despite STR and co. attempting to make the US sound bigger and more beautiful than it really is, they all shun the idea that paradise was in the US.

  16. Link48010 December 16th, 2007 4:46 am

“would someone explain to me why believing something different makes you a terrorist.”

Only in STR’s mind. Would someone explain where Agnostics and Atheists stand?

  17. Raaine Alexei December 16th, 2007 5:21 am

?¢‚Ǩ?ìHe believes that The Garden of Eden was in Missouri.?¢‚Ǩ¬ù
–hey kids, todays word is…WAS, as in, “The area now known as the United States WAS a paradise.

i have a blog about the ten commandments, you should totally check it out

  18. Random Aussie/ New Zealander December 16th, 2007 5:30 am

“Only in STR?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s mind. Would someone explain where Agnostics and Atheists stand?”

Well according to STR Atheists (such as myself) are going to burn in hell (but this is of little concern to them seeing as they don’t believe there is a hell), dunno about Agnostics though

  19. Thomas December 16th, 2007 7:20 am

“America is sick of the corrupt perversion of secularist government.”

So, the Bush administration is corrupt perverted secularist government? I know STR changes their opinions regularly, but I didn’t expect you’d start blaspheming your Great Republican President. Well, good that you finally opened your eyes though.

Oh and one more thought I want to give to STR: In church this morning, we read a part which made me think about the people STR resembles, and especially their way of thinking, their Old Testament-like way of thinking, that we should still obey the Law of Moses etc etc. Let me say only this:

“All that the Law says can be summed up in the command to love others as much as you love yourself.”
    - Galatians 5 : 14

It’s really not more complicated than that. Ironically, that’s one of the only commandments STR is clearly NOT preaching.

    Greetings from liberal Holland,

Mike Huckabee claimed to have a degree in theology but he didn’t! http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=59222 Can a Presidential candidate or Christian be trusted who lied about a theology degree? It’s unethical and a sin to lie about a degree! A politician who lies to the public and exploits his religious affiliation to appeal to evangelicals, sound familiar?

  22. Mormons ARE Christia December 16th, 2007 9:00 am

All people of faith should be united against secularism. It is counter-productive to be disparaging others’ religious beliefs.

  23. Blue One December 16th, 2007 12:13 pm

Mormons ARE Christians, You are right secularism sucks.

Never mind that a secular government under which you now live, also called a democratic republic, has provided you the safety to shoot off your mouth and for me to shoot off my mouth for the past 200 years. Never mind that. Never mind that all the present countries who constitute theocracies are in reality totalitarian disasters.

Never mind that it was in a truly secular government that religion really could flower. No never mind that, you enjoy secularism as you are using your computer but are busy sawing off the branch upon which you sit.

Do you really believe, we would enjoy liberty, freedom of expression, democratic institutions, and all the developments that came out of them (including technology) WITHOUT the core western teachings of liberty by people like John Locke, Rosseau, Thomas Hobbes, and all rest ? But no, for you one dimensional bible dummies your greatest government philospher is Jesus Christ (who I admire *spiritually* do not get me wrong) but IN POLITICAL REALITY what allows you to even sit there in your house and contemplate, what allows you to have a functioning society is rooted in the first teachings on government and liberty by these philosophers from 200 years ago. Without them we wouldn’t even have a western civilization as we know it. They had to in some cases give up their safety against angry monarchs for writing what they did. Appreciate that or lose it.

So PLEASE do yourself and all of us a favor and get a BASIC education on the Western world and how it came to be, how modern liberal (in the poli-sci sense) governments came to be, what thoughts lie behind them, how many people had to sacrifice for your butt to sit there, enjoying the fruits of their sacrifices so you have the structure and the freedom to spout absolutist statements against “secularism”. Pathetic and simple minded. De-evolution at its best. The West and America really IS in trouble with extremely, utterly uneducated people like you living in it. Gross. May you get your way and live in your own uncivilized rot, just you and your biblical law. Ha, ha ! The rest of us will carry on the fight for freedom and for the Western way of secular government that has a space for religion and all thought. Maybe you could also short cut it and travel to Iran. No secularism there ! Your dream state ! These guys have never read Locke, and are probably much better off in their view !

Wait a minute. One day you’re telling me God has chosen Billy Bob Neck to be the next president and the next day you’re telling me that God has chosen Mike Huckabee to be the next president. I believe that in an earlier article you told me that Pat Robertson said that God has chosen Rudy Guliani to be the next president. Is God really confused or are you guys all just making up what God says? At least on this website, stay consistant and have ONE God chosen canidate. I think Billy Bob Neck should be your God chosen canidate.

@Link- sorry to argue with you instead of STR… anyway
“both Christianity and Mormonism are pro life, pro moral religions”
As are *most* other religions (i.e. Buddhism, Islam, Confucianism,Hinduism, Taoism, Wicca… etc.) I really don’t think Mormonism is Christian, it’s its own religion, and like practitioners of any religion, I won’t criticize them for their beliefs… though it’s tempting…

  29. Mormons ARE Christia December 17th, 2007 11:47 am

How can Mormons not be Christian, if they are the denomination which most closely follows First Century Christianity.

How can the Church of Jesus Christ (LDS) not be Christian?

Who is buried in Grant?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s tomb?

It ain’t the false prophet, polygamist and heretic Joseph Smith. That’s for darn sure.

“If you?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢re going to comment here, Alexei, please don?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢t be a douche.”

    Practice what you preach Richard.

“I really don?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢t think Mormonism is Christian”

Well, you argued with me so I’m gonna defend my position. I didn’t ever say Mormonism *is* Christianity, but I did say they where closely related. Maybe not in the actual belifes but the outcome and general morals the religion teaches are both fairly close to each other. That’s what I hate so much about religion (despite my less than aggresive attitude towards it) that even though the outcome of 90% of religions is the same, people always fight about *how* things got to that conclusion.

Oh and by the way, I’m a freaking dumbass! Don’t listen to a word I say. I let Satan rape me! for kicks!

I suppose that would include making the Constitution obsolete, since that document actually allows for everyone to believe as they choose, or not believe as they choose.
