Hi - this location and this event is total strange - I have never seen such a place in Greece or in Austria. But my colleagues actually told me, we have such people in Austria too, but they are just a handful of youngsters. For me personally, I dislike this strange and nasty sound and behavior - I still prefer my old Blues and Rock Music from the 70ies. These strange young people we can find all over the globe - in Russia in America in Europe in Australia - except in the Middle East - LOL!! Hi Shelly - I think I know for what you are looking for. Europe has a lot of weak points and our politicians still make a lot of mistakes and I am also criticizing Europe in many respects, also our economy and some people as well. I would agree, if you point out mistakes in Europe. If you like, criticize these EU countries, I will agree or not - depends. Sometimes our EU politicians make me real angry.
Just a short note: An important point is, Europe is not an united nation. This continent has 46 different nations, this is pretty much.
And we have almost 30 different languages and a lot of dialects plus different cultures.
After WW2 Europe was separated into the free western democratic Europe and the communistic east block states + the former Sovjet Union CCCP. As the communism colapsed 1989-1990, all European citizens were free. We called it the Velvet Revolution, cause it was a peaceful revolution without violance. I don`t know, if you are interested in foreign policy - the idea to make a European Union is very old. After communism the European Union began to “grow”. The EU got more and more members. The United States supports the idea of an United European State project and your president is a big proponent of this idea.
We still have borders, but we can pass them without passport now. In the past it was difficult and sometimes even nasty to pass the border to the communistic block states and to Russia. Western Europe had borders too, which we had to pass with passport only.
Right now we have a quarrel between Muslims and Christians. Since 40 years we have islamic foreign workers. Mostly men came to us, to find a good payed job. They left their families at home. In the 70ies the first muslim families came to Europe too, their kids go to school now and the parents are working.
The troubles began, as islamic parents gave us the order, we have to remove the Christian Cross in the school classes and the politicians told us, we have to remove it. So you can imagine very well, how angry we were or still are. The troubles continued, for example, they don`t eat pork, they don`t drink beer, the girls in school have to wear a headscarf, even in school - even 8 years old girls and so on and so on.
Nearby all EU politicians tell us, we have to be tolerant to our islamic colleagues or coworkers. Ok, we are definitely able to be tolerant, but the majority of these muslims don`t want to be tolerant to us and they don` want to adjust. They tell us, we have to remove this and that, we have to change us and so on…cause the Koran (their holy book) or Mohammed or Allah told it to us.
Behind their claims - many “preachers of hate” or conservative Mullahs teach them following words: You have to be proud to be a Muslim, because the Christians are on the wrong way. Only Muslims are in paradise. The world was made for Muslims only. Allah and Mohammed gave us the order, to bring the teachings of Islam to all people, all over the globe!…and so on.
We are in subdued mood and bilious temper.
However the economic situation in Greece and Austria is not bad - we still have a low unemployment. Of course, we actually feel the international depression in economy as well. The education system could be better - every state in Europe has his national health insurance and it works well. Maybe you will call us socialists, but I don`t care. Much more important is, I can go to dentist for free. I can use every hospital. For me personally, Greece is my favorit state, firstly it is my homeland (my ancestors lived there) secondly, we have a lot of beautiful landscape plus Mediterranean Sea and Greece has 4 warm seasons.
Athens, the capital town of Greece is the cradle of democracy. The western culture was born on the greek island Crete 5000 years ago. Also the first Christians came to Greece and the evangelists wrote the New Testament in this land. This is a country with a lot of history and it has still a beautiful nature.
So you can imagine - these some youngsters on this video clips don`t stand for Europe - of course, I think we have some of them. But I don`t care - black dressed young guns are all over the globe. I dont care, if they like metal rock or such stuff, I don`t have troubles with them.
I was wondering, why you think, these people on these video clips are most significant for Europe. I told you, we have a lot of troubles, messes, problems and weak points, corruption and so on. Silly and corrupt politicians still make a lot of troubles and mistakes. You can criticize Europe in many ways - but please, it must be intelligent and it must based on true situations.
We have troubles, a lot - I agree - but please read as much as possible, to get good informed, what kind of problems, messes and troubles we actually have - after I will invite you, to criticize Europe!
