Is McCain a Maverick?

Ignorant demoncrat libtard Joe Biden says that John McCain is not a maverick - he claims that nobody who voted with George W. Bush (America’s greatest living President) can be considered a maverick.
Maverick, played by James Garner - the traveling poker-player and crime-fighter. A tough risk-taker willing to gamble everything for what is right. Wouldn’t you like a President like this?
But just think about it for a moment - for much of his Presidency, Georgw W. Bush has been under-appreciated by the American people who have been suckered in by liberal ideologues. What could be more maverick than supporting an un-popular President?
What could be more mavericky than appointing Sarah Palin, a relativly unknown state governor as his Veep? It’s a great gamble, and one which will surely deliver him the Presidency.
I think that proves beyond all doubt that John McCain is a true Maveric - an unpredictable man, one who his enemies will never dare cross. Let’s just hope that one day he plays Poker for Team America.

No, I wouldn´t want someopne who is ready to risk everything fo president. Unlike a figure from a TV-show, he won´t have a character shield and will thus eventually loose and then the entire country is fucked.

Yeah, the damage he´s done has been underappreciated. If they´d appreciated it for real, they´d have had him impeached for a long time by now.

You mean he got desperate and had to do something from preventing Obama´s speech from rolling over him like an avalanche. Sorry folks, but desperate measures don´t require you to be a Maverick. And Palin is likely going to cost McCain the election more than anything else. The only real attack against Obama he had was Obama´s relative lack of experience. Now he´s got a VP-nominate that has even less experience. McCain shot himself in the foot with that one.

Palin was a desperate move, prompted in large part by those pro-Hillary people who have sworn to vote not-Obama.
McCain needed a vagina on the ticket. I’m the kind of guy who thinks that this country would be better off run by women these days, and I’m offended FOR Palin.
But then again, she’s the hero to people like you because she *CHOSE* to keep her baby. Assuming it is *her* baby.
Palin also thinks that the phrase “One nation under god” was coined by the founding fathers.
Would it make me a chauvinistic asshole when I imagine Ike rising from his grave, marching up to Alaska and smacking her over the head with a rolled-up newspaper for that one? :)
She seems to also be an ex-member of the Alaska Independece Party, a group of loonies that want Alaska so seceede from the union.
Oh, she has also allegedly links to Joel´s Army, some ultra-fundamental christian fringe group full of idiots that think they´re the last generation before Armageddon and God´s Army and somesuch nonsense. Would you really want someone with such connections one (very faint and old) heartbeat away from being Commander in Chief?
And then there´s of course the thing how she ruined the town she was major off and then spent millions of dollars on a road leading to that “bridge to nowhere” she said she´d stop to build. The money for that bridge hasn´t been returned to the federal government, either.
With all that stuff, one has to wonder if McCain´s vetting-team has spent the last weeks with their thumbs up their asses. Or if he really just picked her in a fit of panic.

Well - G W Bush is moron, but wait untill “unpredictable” John McCain will put United States in nuclear war with Russia for example
Scanman - the Cold War is no more - but much more dangerous can be a war with islamic terrorgangs or with the islamic world. They have connections to nuclear equipment from Russia or North Korea.
On the other hand the Russian army became powerful again, since Putin supported it. A war between Russia and the States is unlikley. But it was dangerous between the 60ies and the early 80ies.
