    wow billy bum. you really need acting lessons if you want me to believe this isn’t satirical. ok, let’s pick this sucker apart.
    1)who cares about your stupid hat?
    2)you shouldn’t be aloud to comment on saluting, you can’t do it right either. being in the military myself, i know what a proper salute looks like. yours is bordering on the British salute and something a gay man would do… something your hiding buddy?
    3)so Palin’s daughter is going to have a football headed mentally challenged child?… why? because she had a child under 18 or out of wedlock? oh wait, how bout i not focus on what the media is telling me (like a good little sheep, Billy Baaahhhb)and focus on the fact that Palin is being investigated for corruption in her own damn state. now that’s a reason not to like her.
    4)this one goes out to all you faithful Shellinites, listen to old Podunk here and vote for that other guy, in that aspect i agree. one less vote for the crazy old(oh so very old) war ‘hero’.
    5)you also should not be aloud to pray either. because i’m pretty sure Jesus spread a message of love and peace to ALL. from what i’ve read he hung out with lepers and prostitutes, without judging them. hmm, Jesus taught tolerance and understanding, funny, you STR guys must have skipped that part.

    Hi - Since last year I found some articles about McCain, written by Vietnam vets. Most of them call him a traitor. I don`t know exactly why - they wrote, it was impossible to survive at the Hanoi Hilton (POW jail in Hanoi), cause they tortured every single US citizen - to get informations. (like in every war)
    If they got needful infos, this prisoner had a better life (medical treatment, bed in hospital, a nice nurse). This was the reason, why McCain survived in North Vietnam for almost 6 years - veterans said.
    A lot of soldiers died, cause they didn`t want to betray friends and military operations. They got just rotten food, slept in dirt or on the floor and so on - and didn`t got any medical treatment. Such following stories we can hear in every war: The Vietcongs told him, if you want to cooperate with us, we will save your life!” (he was very badly injured, as they shot him down). I had never been in such difficult situation - but I can imagine, I would brake secrets to safe my life.
    A high number of US Vietnam Vets are confinced, he betrayed to the enemy and broke secrets. I wasn`t in Vietnam, therefore I cannot judge a book by it`s cover. I know since the beginning, a lot of Repulicans dislike him.
    I am not very surprised about BBN critics against McCain. Maybe Shelley will boot him out - like Tristan. I agree with Thomas from the Netherlands.
    I would say, Obama would be not so bad for the States. This has nothing to do with my poltical point of view. I want to see the facts: Many presidents, politicians or leaders all over the globe like him. It would be easy for him, to bring the States in a better economic position. And I think, it would be easy for him to talk to all these islamic leaders - this is very important right now, for peace keeping and trade.

    Hi Pushkin - you are living in the West, we have freedom of speech! If you dont like Sara`s comments, ok, don`t read it. I know, this is different to your beloved Russia - where many people still live in fear. (this is sadly true)
    If any journalist criticizes the goverment or the Russian army, the FSB or any hidden warrior kills him. During the Soviet era it was much stricter. You growed up in political opressions.
    By the way, dont take all these comments and articles too serious. If I want to get true and intelligent informations, I change the website or I take a book. This is just a right wing propaganda - nothing more.
    I used this website to train my English and to learn more about the US common speech. Secondly I like all these comments - just for fun and relaxing. It is pretty interesting, how different meanings can be - inside the States.

    @peter.. I dont live in the west. I live in the east. I bounce around a lot here lately between several countries doing various jobs, but all in asia. i know this is a radical page and most of the people that are here are against conservative points of interest, just here to bash STR.
    I tell you from a military point, being a prisoner of war does not qualify you for being president. if anything i would be afraid of his time there in the vietnam camp having a bad impact on his mental capabilities. i know from experience that men that go through things like that are never the same afterwards.
    but the choice for obama is scary. i dont see america with a person that will bring about change in a good way and i find that sad. oh well.. ill watch it unfold on the TV.
