Time to start drilling in ANWR

Friends,

We need oil - that’s the plain truth.

God has given America a great deal of oil. It’s all in Alaska. It’s waiting for brave patriotic Americans to drill it up and sell it on the open-market, just like Jesus intended. Unfortunately the liberals and eco-fraudsters want all that oil to stay underground. They don’t want you to have gas for your car.

They think that we shouldn’t drill for oil because Alaska is a “wildlife-reserve”.

Next time a liberal tells you that we shouldn’t be drilling for oil, you should ask them: What’s the point of having a wildlife reserve if nobody can afford to go there? Are our tax-dollars just going to fund a patch of useless ground full of plants and animals that nobody gets to see or hunt? What would be the point in that? STR.com says it’s time to get drilling so that we can enjoy off-roading!

Those folks who think we shouldnt drill for oil in ANWR are a bunch of city-dwelling idiots. What’s the point of all this open country if we cannot drive around our awesome jeeps? This vehicle gets 15 miles to the galon, high gas prices are simply unfair to those of us who love to kick up awesome snow.

Soon it’s going to be impossible for most folks to be able to afford this great form of entertainment, and then nobody would be able to drive around ANWR - and what would be the point in that?

Preserve our heratige: Vote John McCain for President so that we can preserve the sporting activity that made America great: Off-Roading!

Gold Standard For The US Dollar - Never Again!

Friends,

There’s been a lot of misinformation surrounding the real value of the almighty American dollar. The lie-beral Ron Paul whiners keep saying the dollar is being held hostage by our friends at the Federal Reserve and that it is not even worth the paper it is being printed on. Well we understand your concerns here at STR and we’ve assembled a crack team of bible-and-scripture trained economists and chartered accountants to dig out the truth of what is happening. Take our word: the US dollar is God’s chosen currency and it is more powerful than ever, with your purchasing ability increasing every day!

Long ago, during troubled times when the US dollar was backed by gold as demanded by the Constitution, inflation was unheard of and Americans were able to empirically show how much they were gaining from their paychecks every month. Was this a good idea? Not at all: we’ve already seen what a disaster having empirical standards can have on people’s lives. The fraudulent ‘metric’ system has been proven to be a complete lie, the deceit of using standards-based science to formulate concepts such as ‘evolution’, even attempts to standardize various versions of the bible have proven how terrible standards of any kind can be. Are students smarter because some of them did better on empirically-based tests in math than others? Of course not. Is it any wonder Satanists such as Ralph Nader made their name arguing for dangerous life-threatening consumer standards such as the seatbelt? No.

Gold Bullion Bars: Look at how flimsy and immaterial these bars of solid heavy gold are. Can you trust an item that proportional to the amount of labor needed to obtain relative to other tasks such as farming, construction, designing and other work that constitutes all human endeavor, is so difficult to get that it forms an ideal standard for determining human wealth? No, you can not.

Thankfully our Leaders were wise enough to realize the folly of empirical standards for wealth: for example in many turn-of-the-century single-industry towns they stopped using the gold-backed US dollars and instead paid workers using company-printed vouchers and coupons. This allowed people to not only work for a mining company, but also shop in the mining company store and get great discounts since their coupons didn’t work elsewhere, just as God intended. Of course the sick, sniveling lie-beral Supreme Court ruled these coupons and vouchers illegal, but thankfully what was lost at the local level was put into place across all of America: in 1913 the Federal Reserve banking system was implemented, a private consortium of banks which was given the privilege of printing these dollars for Americans. And they even have the name ‘Federal’ Reserve, just in case people ask silly questions about whether they’re private or not.

Happy and proud, these turn-of-the-century coal miners realize that whatever is best for the company is best for them as well. Have you ever heard of miners striking for better wages and working conditions? Me neither. Jesus cries every time He hears of empirical standards being used for wealth, consumer products or anything else.

The Federal Reserve system is a work of pure genius: by eliminating standards of any kind the Fed has been empowered to fix every economic ailment the US encounters. Does America need more money to pay for things? Print, print, print, the Federal Reserve is there to save the day. Do Iraqi war veterans need roughly $100k+ a year each in additional funding to cover therapy? Print, print! Does Bear-Sterns need a massive bail-out? Hallejulah, the Fed print-print-prints-up whatever is needed! This is why it is so shameful for people to not respect the work of the Federal Reserve: the Fed is what is keeping this great nation afloat. Indeed, the US dollar is now arguably the first-ever Faith-Based currency in existence, one that Americans and the world simply need to Believe the dollar is worth something, and then after closing your eyes it magically becomes true.

Kool Moe Dee: This young thugg-gangsta negro thinks he can hide his wealth from the government and corporations by putting it into ‘bling-bling’ and other commodity-based empirically-valued tangible items of worth. But is ‘moe dee’ really so ‘kool’? Not after the police beat him to a pulp and confiscate his ill-gotten gold and jewel-encrusted commodity-based wealth he isn’t!

Now you might say: “But it’s not just commodities like gas prices that are going up: food is going up, copper is going up, drywall, carpets, fertilizer, nails, bricks, paint, lumber are going up…. all tangible commodity-based items are increasing relative to the US dollar which is being printed-up in secret in back-rooms by the Fed…. are you sure we shouldn’t have a commodity-backed US dollar when all commodities are increasing in value relative to the paper dollar?” To which the definitive answer is: No Empirical Standards! What part of this is ambiguous? If the US dollar seems to have a supply that is inflating massively relative to the value of commodities, do not blame the Federal Reserve for inflating the dollar supply massively relative to commodities, even though they are! Instead it is your own fault for not praying to Jesus and believing in the Gospel, and showing True Faith in God and the US dollar that is causing all the problems.

Leo Strauss: Socrates of the Neo-Conservative movement, Leto was extremely dashing with great hair and was constantly surrounded by a bevy of the most beautiful women.

Leo Strauss, a gift to us from God and the Philosopher-King of the Neo-Conservative movement, understood better than anyone the dangers of empirically-based standards. Leo was enamored by Sparta and Spartan society and culture: from an unarmed non-voting population lorded-over by a benevolent heavily-armed elite, to having tattooed serial numbers into all it’s citizens for government identification, to massive armed police and military roadblocks throughout the country preventing citizens from moving around without their wise rulers knowledge or permission, to massive state censorship, Sparta was a fairy-tale dream come true. Best of all: Spartans used a currency with no empirical or tangible worth! Spartans loved their country, knowing full well that even if they left it, they had nothing of value once outside. Is it any wonder that even Spartan women were uncommonly masculine and patriotic? The hairy backs and coarse uni-eyebrow Greek women sport even today is often glowingly called ‘The Spartan’. Our Great Leaders want to re-make America in this magic image, and it is critical we do everything possible to support them, any and every which way we can.

At STR we need to make it very clear: if you have currency such as gold, silver, jewels or anything that can be used in real commodity-based trades, or know of anyone with these items, realize the concerns this can cause. American patriots only use the American dollar: it’s American, we’re American, you must love American, because we live in American, no questions, ever. Just like ‘Federal’ must be respected at all times, whether the Federal Government, the Federal Reserve, or Fedex, every mention of the word ‘Federal’ deserves reverence. If you do have empirically-based wealth items made of gold or silver or other precious metals and gems (remember, items such as watches, your wedding ring, etc, that have these elements are included!) you have shown serious flaws in your moral character.

Confiscations Must Happen Now: If citizens don’t start to realize how important it is to return their empirical wealth, then obviously the police, the military, KBR, Halliburton and other defenders of freedom will have to be called in to ensure authority is respected. Jesus shoots in the head anyone who defies the law, just look at this brownie getting a proper police beatdown for daring to possess commodity-based wealth. Take that, brownie-boy!

That is why STR now calls on you, the STR readership to Do The Right Thing: you must return all your empirical commodity-based wealth. With this Shelley the Republican will start a fund to combat the enemies of America, wherever they are found, every way possible, enlightening them to the Glory of Jesus. If you don’t do it, rest assured it will only be a short while before the government comes for it anyways. Do you want to be the one trying to explain why you have trade-value gold and silver items in your possession when black-hooded Blackwater Freedom Warriors kick-in your door at 3 in the morning? Exactly.

Make certain to send all your precious-metal and jewelery items to STR HQ at the address below:

For those who realize God’s will, we offer this prayer so that you are comforted by God. He will be certain to redeem you in Blessings for the financial loss of your material possessions:

Dear Jesus, Praised Be you for slaying the scourge of commodity-based wealth
Lord, you have shown the folly of worshiping golden ingots and baubles,
When the only worship should be of You in All Your Glory
By Man and Woman who have learned to Humble themselves,
And who wisely listen to The Great Leaders voice and God’s Word, Amen!

French Scientists play God with our tax-dollars

As we all know, the weather is exclusively the domain of God. When he is angry he sends thunder and lighting to smite sinners (as he did in New Orleans). When he is happy he sends clement weather (such as we enjoyed during the Reagan Presidency).

The wages of sin are destruction: The Holy Bible assures us that sinners and evil people will be utterly destroyed. If it were not for the good Christian conservatives God would have destroyed America years ago - your prayers are needed to save America from the sodomites!

What are we to make of this highly irresponsible experiment lead by French “scientist” - a Frenchman who like all French cheese-eaters arrogantly presumes that he knows better than God - somebody who presumes to know better than American Christians and Patriots how to spend our tax dollars.

In New Mexico, U.S., scientists tested a new ultra-high-power laser which provoked lightning. Scientists fired ultra-fast pulses from an extremely powerful laser (shown above) thus sending several terawatts into the clouds to call down electrical discharges in storm clouds over the region.

In case this kind of technobabble isnt your sort of thing - this isolent garlic muncher spent a millions of dollars (which could have helped our war on terror) shooting laser beams at clouds to make lightning. What right has man got to make lighting? God’s lightning! Listen to the frenchman boast:

“This is the first laser that has terawatt power and is also mobile,” outlined Andr? Mysyrowicz, a researcher working at the Ecole Nationale Superieure de Techniques Avancees, Paris, France. He was one of the participants in the latest outdoor tests

Who the heck does this Frenchie think he is, just because he went to “Ecole Superieure” - I got my diploma from Patriot Bible University. We didn’t study lasers but I can still see that this guy is talking crap!

Man has no right to play God. Whenever Man exceeds his authority such as by performing abortions or being gay God gets angry. And if God is getting angry then so should we. We should get angry any time God is angry because we are his flock, his servants whose job it is to ensure that his Holy will is done on Earth.

We need to stop these French atheists making the LORD angry before it’s too late - before we are judged with another 9/11 or hurricane Katrina. Please join is in condemnation of this unspeakable violation of God’s law.

Debunking Toyota’s eco-myth

Question: Which is the most environmentally friendly car out of a Prius or a Hummer? If you guessed the Toyota Prius then not only are you a deranged America-hating liberal but you are also completely wrong: A new study from CNW Marketing Research has finally debunked the myth that these foreign-made electric toy-cars are environmentally friendly at all.

Prius drivers - you might already be a murderer - your car contains enough nickel to kill an average sized horse. How do you know that your pretty new electric car is not leaking hazardous chemicals? YOU DON’T!

According to derange eco-activist scare-monger Al Gore we should all drive the battery-powered jap-crap electric cars in preference to American made vehicles: He argues that because these cars run on nothing but electricity they do not pollute the environment. What Al Gore fails to mention is that the Prius uses batteries made out of ultra-toxic Nickel as it’s fuel.

Nickel (Chemical symbol Sn) is one of the most harmful substances known to man - it was created shortly after the fall of man (when Adam and Eve were expelled from the Garden of Eden) and is in the same chemical group as deadly Polonium, the chemical that Russian spies used to poison their enemies. The Sony laptops that bust into flame in 2006 were also fueled by guess what chemical… that’s right: Nickel.

Handle with extreme caution: This laboratory worker keeps her gloves on while handling this sample of pure Nickel. The consequences of accidentally swallowing one of these “containment pellets” would be an excruciating death.

Nickel is bad news - unlike harmless chemicals like gasoline or diesel which when burnt are converted into harmless carbon-monoxide and water Nickel cannot be destroyed other than bombarding it with high-energy radiation. In practice most Nickel cannot be recycled - the battries will be left to rust at which time the dangerous Nickel can escape into the atmosphere creating a deadly cloud of death. Anybdy who inhales Nickel gas has a 99% chance of suffering a fatal Nickel overdose for which there is no known cure.

My Hummer by comparison can be made to run on 100% nartural “bio-deisel” - a carbon-neutral fuel made in America by hard-working American farmers. It contains absolutely no Nickel at all, which means I can drive it safe in the knowledge that unlike Al Gore, George Clooney and all the other eco-doomsayers I am supporting American industry and helping the environment.

Action Alert: Are you the victim of Nickel Poisioning? Did you ever drive a Toyota Prius? Contact STR.com’s emergency prayer team immediatly. Only the power of prayer can help cure you from your incurable condition.

Geology By Design

Friends,

One of the very first predictions that ShelleyTheRepublican made was that we would win the Intelligent Design argument: Not only would we win but the big idea of Intelligent Design might turn out to be a revolutionary idea that changes the way we look at the whole of science.

That is why we are proud to announce the publication of what we believe will be an important reference text for home-schoolers and kids who want to learn about God’s creation. This is the very first in a series of school books which have been paid for by ShelleyTheRepublican from the money you, dear readers, have generously donated.

geology_by_design.jpg

Like my close friend Mike Gene, I’ve long argued that creation happened for a purpose: Complex animals like Cats and Zebras did not just arrive for the heck of it ? they have been put here deliberately by God. The leading blogger from Bill Dembski’s site Overwhelming Evidenc, Quntilis argues that as with life, many structures found in nature are irreducibly complex. I’d like to see the geologists argue their way out of that!

But what of the rocks beneath our feet? If you ask a geologist he will tell you that it’s all the result of blind physical processes following the natural laws of the universe. He’d tell you that the Earth is billions of years old and that God had nothing at all to do with it. This preposterous theory has held sway for the last two hundred years ? but recently a rival theory is threatening to change the whole of Geology: Intelligent Design.

whale.jpg

Evolutionists believe that everything in the world is random, purposeless and pointless. If what evolutionists believe is true then we might expect this preposterous vision to be an every-day occurrence; Interestingly enough this great fish was most likely “beached” in the desert by the receding waters of the great flood.

Think about it ? if the animals and plants of the world are intelligently designed then God must have thought about where he put them: For example he did not put whales in the desert or tigers in the Arctic. Instead he designed a perfect environment for every creature under the sun. It’s obvious then that the environment, which is essential to every living thing must also have been designed.

Download The audio

Please listen to this important episode of Crosstalk for more information about the important science of Creationism, this episode features a review of the new STR.com sponsored textbook for home-schoolers, Geology By Design.

Now why don’t you hear simple logic like that in Geology text-books? The answer is because they are written by biblically ignorant Godless men who are locked into an anti-Jesus agenda. The whole of modern Geology needs to be rejected in order to bring in a new science based on Biblically accurate principles.

minerals.jpg

The Holy Bible refers to over forty different minerals, rocks, metals or alloys. That’s proof that God doesn’t just care about animals and people - he loves rocks and minerals as well. Together we can learn about all the minerals that God created approximately six thousand years ago in the book we call Genesis.

Together we can bring Jesus back into the science of Geology where he truly belongs.

Metric Meltdown

Friends,

According to scientists, The French / Eurotrash “metric” system is in a state of crisis today, as scientists discovered that the weight of the “kilogram” is flip-flopping faster than John McCain at an episcopalian rally.

copy18_small.jpg

The Kilo - a unit with an identity crisis: This is one of the approximately 30 standard kilograms stored in a French castle. The polished metallic pellet a the center of this contraption is made of an alloy of precious metals, provided at government expense. Only in Europe would government subsidize such folly!

Since Europe converted to the metric system a few years back, this could have a grave impact on that continent’s faltering economy. Imagine a situation where customers wishing to buy some meat, or fill their car with gas literally have no idea how much their goods will cost, simply because nobody knows the exact definition of a weight.

young_jesus002.jpg

Jesus, the humble carpenter no doubt used a ruler to measure his wood every day, however the Bible clearly states that he had no need of the metric system.

How much simpler life would be if we only adopted the standard units of weights and measures mentioned in the King James Bible? Biblical measures are authorized by God, and like God are not tied down to fickle matter. This is yet another example of how Science only really makes sense when it is rooted in the Bible.

How are liberals politicizing science?

Friends,

We are told that science is neutral and above mere politics, but is it? We all know about the evolution controversy, but is that the only example of liberal researchers abandoning truth and neutrality in favor of discredited wingnut junk science? Sadly not: Modern science text-books are riddled with politically charged left-wing ideology.

The science-books your child reads at school might be exposing your family to the ideas behind the liberal culture of death and idolitary: Materialism. Is it fair to expose our kids to whackadoodle liberal ideas?

physics_textbook1.jpg

Do you know what your family are reading? That science text-book may be loaded with dangerous liberal propaganda. It is your duty as a parent to ensure that easily influenced minds are not distracted by texts that contradict our cherished biblical principles.

Consider the 2nd law of thermodynamics. I’ve always felt that this is one of the most politicized statements in the whole of ’science’. Put simply, the 2nd law states that the amount of chaos (evil) in the universe can only increase. This nihilistic world-view postulates that no matter how much people try to restore God’s order, chaos will win.

Proponents of this bizarre theory anticipate an end-time in which the entire universe has become chaos and God’s order will be destroyed. They call this “Entropy”. This message of destruction stands in stark contrast to the teaching of the Christian Bible, which clearly states that in the post-rapture end times it will be order and not chaos that rules our Universe.

entropyending.jpg

Entropy Death: This is how liberals want our universe to end. We cannot allow this to happen.

rapture.jpg

The rapture: This message of God’s love and his eventual triumph over the forces of evil and chaos stand in stark contrast to the materialist’s 2nd law of thermodynamics.

Scottish scientist James Clark Maxwell, the inventor of thermodynamics proposed that the only way to practically reduce entropy was by making use of a “demon”. Maxwell, a contemporary of Karl Marx heavily promoted this concept, and “Maxwell’s demon” as we know it today is the first modern attempt to reconcile science with demonology and the occult, a practice explicitly forbidden by biblical teaching.

Why is it that physics text-books refuse to tell both sides of this story? Interestingly enough, even ultra-materialist physicists like Stephen Hawkings claim that the 2nd law does not universally apply. That’s almost like saying that the law of gravitation does not apply during Democratic Party conventions. Either a law is a law or it isn’t. What kind of law can you apply when you feel like it?

Clearly this entire controversy says more about moonbat liberal attitudes to law and order than it says about science. Since liberal science is not rooted in God’s law it lacks moral authority, it can therefore can be used to justify anything from abortion to the heat-destruction of the entire universe.

sean4_small.jpg

One thing that astonished me about the liberal reaction to our our recent coverage of Steorn’s remarkable free-energy machine was how many of our readers felt justified to dismiss these claims without having viewed the machine and without taking any time to seriously investigate the scientific claims made by this company.

How is it that our liberal readers feel so justified in dismissing something they have not yet seen? Naturally they claim that this machine violates the secularist 2nd law of thermodynamics, but what about God’s law?

This is just one more illustration of the importance of home-schooling: My granddaughter was never made to attend the liberal lie-factory that is the public-school system. Mrs Shuddery and I have been charged with looking after her education. We shall teach science the way Jesus requires, putting equal emphasis on scientific and biblical principles.

Yours in Christ,

Are eliteist communist doctors trying to kill your children?

Friends,

A common criticism of ID made by neo-darwinist liars is that our science of Intelligent Design brings no benefits. They claim that ID is useless because it has no practical applications. How wrong they are. More than any other science, I predict that advances in ID biology will yield important discoveries in medicine and soon people will forget entirely about the discredited theory of Evolution. The topic of today’s article is only the “tip of the iceberg” compared to what the ID approach has to offer.

Some recent presentations on the “ID the Future Podcast” by the Discovery Institute’s Luskin-award winning Casey Luskin and Senior Fellow Michael Behe have corrected some common liberal misconceptions about neo-darwinist evolution, these misconceptions have enormous medical impact.

rossmannvirus.jpeg

When you visit a doctor with a cold, why is it that he may be reluctant to prescribe a life-saving antibiotic? Could it be because your doctor has fallen for a neo-darwinist lie?

In a nutshell, these podcasts explain that doctors have mis-understood the concept of antibiotic resistance, mainly because they have applied a flawed materialistic, evolutionary world-view to this problem. Doctors often restrict the prescription of anti-biotics because they fear that antibiotic-resistant strains of bacteria will evolve, thus creating super-bacteria, which they incorrectly believe might be very deadly diseases. Antibiotic resistant bacterial infections are often cited as evidence for the power of neo-darwinian evolutionary theory. But is it?

What they failed to notice was that each time a bacteria becomes immune to an antibiotic, it usually becomes dramatically weakened and less able to survive in other respects. Antibiotic is like a poision for bacteria. If you took repeated doeses of poison would it make you stronger? Of course, not and the evolutionist’s view makes as much sense as drinking poison to stay healthy!

See “Is Antibiotic Resistance Evidence for Darwinian Evolution?”:
http://intelligentdesign.podomatic.com/entry/2007-06-15T12_37_45-07_00

Evolutionist doctors believe that antibiotic resistance is a bad thing because in their world-view, the thing they fear the most is a strain of bacteria which is resistant to multiple forms of antibiotic; however what they have failed to comprehend is that such a bacterial strain would have been so weakened by evolution as to become hardly a danger to mankind.

antibiotic.jpg

Why should eliteist liberal doctors who perform abortions get to decide who receives antibiotics? These drugs are a gift from God to help us fight the Devil’s plague. The Bible commands us to use all weapons at our disposal to fight the enemy.

Why has this knowledge been suppressed? I believe that elitist liberal doctors who have an interest in controlling our access to medication do not want us to know how easy it would be to eliminate all bacterial disease. They keep the antibiotics for themselves, and their liberal friends in order to kill-off hard-working Christians and their families. There is a simple solution to this problem, and it’s a perfectly conservative proposal that would make any Reagan conservative smile:

ronald_reagan.jpg

How would President Reagan have solved this problem: Simple - he’d trust a free, unregulated market economy to distribute antibiotics to anybody who through hard-work and diligence can afford them. Why should Americans be forced to tolerate government hand-outs for these drugs? A free market economy in which the drug-companies have direct access to customers is the only fair way to sell these products.

We simply need to de-regulate the market for antibiotics, so that anybody can buy what they need. Why should we care if the bacteria will become “antibiotic resistant”. As Michael Behe explains in this podcast, a resistant bacteria has been weakened and is therefore unable to cause infection.

“An Interview with Michael Behe author of The Edge of Evolution”
http://intelligentdesign.podomatic.com/entry/2007-06-13T14_11_59-07_00

Doctors have misunderstood the nature of evolution. Mislead by neo-darwinist lies they have imagined that evolution is a creative, intelligent force that can somehow make bacteria more deadly. As Behe explains, Evolution is nothing to be afraid of, and can only practically weaken a strain of bacteria to the point where it is no longer a threat to mankind.

That’s the kind of practical important results that come from a study of ID - now why is it that Evolutionists are still in denial?

Yours in Christ,

Tristan J. Shuddery

The Proof is in : Exposed - The Climate of Fear

Folks,
we at ShelleyTheRepublican.com don’t buy into the lies about “global warming” as you know. The courageous talk-show host Glen Beck finally set the record straight. There is no such thing as “Global Warming” or at least it’s not caused by humans.

“Global Warming” was invented by Al Gore to score political points for this run for presidency in 2008. We all know that it’s not gonna work. The American public is much to smart to believe this piece of junk-science.

A recent poll shows that only 13 percent of Congressional Republicans believe the big lie about “Global Warming”. On the other side of the aisle, among the democ-rats 95 percent believe it’s true. This just proves once more that liberals are spine-less idiots with no ability to think for themselves.

Al Gore is not fooling us. No way, Jose!

Thanks for reading,

Christian persecution, and unequal opportunities

Friends,

What does it mean to be a great scientist? There are some who think a scientist should spend his life in his ivory tower, amongst papers and complex laboratory instruments. They say scientists should spend their lives picking away at obscure theories dreamt up by long-dead nerds, only to squirrel their research away in some academic thesis written in a strange language that nobody who speaks God’s English can understand. That person may be a scientist, but he certainly is not a great scientist.

images.jpeg

The bookworm: Nobody does science by writing a bunch of dull papers; Who the heck cares about that stuff anyway?

There is another breed of researcher: Brave, Impulsive, Intuitive and unafraid of defying the consensus. This kind of scientist is more at home in the church or school-house than a dusty laboratory. He follows truth like a bloodhound follows the scent of a wetback. This sort of scientist thinks up ideas so great, they do not even need to be tested because everybody who listens with an open-mind just knows they are right. This guy doesn’t just publish papers: he writes best-selling books and movies that help people all under the world understand God’s creation. Now that is what I call a great scientist.

mad_scientist.jpg

The true genius: He follows science wherever it leads, even if others are afraid.

So if you were deciding which of these two fellows to offer tenure to, which of these two fellows would you choose? The simpering coward or the bold truth-warrior? Funnily enough, Iowa State University just rejected one of the greatest scientists in the world - and the reason: Anti-Christian persecution.

Let me introduce Guillermo Gonzalez, one of the worlds greatest scientists and inventor of what one day will be shown to be the most important scientific discovery since Intelligent Design. Guillermo who is a fellow of the Discovery Institute and a close friend of Shelley The Republican.

tpp_dvdblkbkgndsm.jpg

This is one of the best and most important science books ever. Why is it that it is not compulsory for kids in school to read it? The answer is clear: Anti-Christian persecution.

Guillermo is credited as the discoverer of the “Privileged Planet” theory: The observation that it is incredibly unlikely that our planet, and it’s particular place in the universe could not have come about by sheer chance, and therefore the whole universe must have been designed by God. Why is it that this simple and obvious principle is regarded as controversial by the ultra-leftist whack-jobs at Iowa State University?

guillermo1.jpg

Guillermo Gonzales was guided by Jesus from the godless land of communist Cuba to teach Astronomy at ISU; Perhaps Jesus intended for him to become a martyr so that we can all learn a lesson?

The simple answer is that Professor Gonzales is yet another victim of the atheist conspiracy of hate that we Christians have to suffer every single day. Look at what Denys Oleary, one of the world’s most trusted investigative journalists has to say:

“It is well known that Hector Avalos, a religion prof who professes himself a secular humanist, and is faculty adviser to students who profess the same, has tried to stir up the faculty and community against Gonzalez via a petition signed by 120 faculty members - on account of Gonzalez’s personal interest in an intelligent design hypothesis as an explanation for his findings.”

Why would 120 fellow researchers gang up against one defenceless professor? Would it be because they are jealous that he has published a highly popular book which was turned into a box-office smash movie? Or is it because they are afraid that he might be on to something. O’leary adds:

“Now, materialism is shot to pieces anyway, and has been ever since quantum mechanics began to be understood. But hordes of tenured mediocrities still compel tax money from the public to defend their dissolving empire, and persecute anyone who threatens it.”

denyseoleary_sm.jpg

Denys Oleary: One of the world’s greatest science journalists. Why is it that the major publications avoid her work? This is another example of persecution against Christians.

These are sobering words indeed! If only all the scientists in the world writers shared O’leary’s grasp of quantum theory Guillermo Gonzales would have been awarded the tenure he deserves. It’s plain to see that ISU just could not stomach the idea of giving tenure to a scientist who has the courage to reinvent the very concept of science.

Yours in Christ,

Tristan J. Shuddery

URGENT PRAYER ALRERT Our friends at uncommon descent have put together an open letter to the board of ISU complaining about the unfair treatment that our dear Guillermo has received:

To: Gregory Geoffroy

President

Iowa State University

Dear Dr. Geoffroy,

Anyone familiar with the case of Astronomer Guillermo Gonzalez suspects that he was not denied tenure at Iowa State for lack of academic excellence–he has nearly 70 peer-reviewed publications, including an article in Scientific American, and Nature and Science have run articles about his work–but because of his expressed view (expressed only OUTSIDE the classroom) that certain features of the universe can be considered as evidence of design. This is in fact a widely held view among scientists: for example, it is a well-established fact–established through many peer-reviewed scientific articles–that most of the basic physical constants of our universe, such as Planck’s constant, the speed of light, the charge and mass of the electron, and so on, had to have nearly the values that they do have or intelligent life would not have been possible anywhere in the universe. There are only two widely-held interpretations for this so-called “fine tuning.” One is that the fortuitous values of these constants are the result of design, the other is that there are many universes, with varying values for these constants, and that life arose in ours because the values here were favorable to the development of life. Neither view is strictly scientific, because both the alleged designer and the alleged other universes are in principle unobservable. There are quite a number of scientists who prefer the design explanation. Dr. Gonzalez may be in the minority, but it is a very sizable minority, and most members of this minority are free to express this point of view at their respective institutions without fear of academic punishment.

Dr. Gonzalez has in fact, through peer-reviewed publications, added significantly to the list of features in our universe which may suggest design. He has rarely, if ever, spoken publicly in support of the less widely-held view that certain features of biological evolution also suggest design, but apparently his association with the Discovery Institute’s Center for Science and Culture, which does hold this view, was more than could be tolerated by some faculty members at ISU. His views were criticized in a letter drafted by a professor of religion, Hector Avalos, and signed by 120 ISU professors, and we suspect that this letter played an important role in the tenure decision.

Your decision to deny tenure to Guillermo Gonzalez, unless reversed, sends a clear message to the rest of the academic world that only some philosophical points of view are welcome at Iowa State University. Academic freedom is meaningless if it is limited to certain philosophies. Please reconsider your decision.
